Tomahawk School District hosting Community Conversation Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 15

BY THE TOMAHAWK SCHOOL DISTRICT

TOMAHAWK – The School District of Tomahawk is excited to extend an invitation to our community to have a conversation about community expectations. The Board of Education for the School District of Tomahawk recently developed a team of community members to plan an event for the community to discuss our future. This team of community members include, Ron Zimmerman, Mike Reilly, Lee Steigerwaldt, Joan Watterau and Scott Johnson.

This event is called the Community Conversation and will be held at the High School Wednesday, Aug. 14 and Thursday, Aug. 15 from 5 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. The Board of Education is looking for help in answering the question, “What do you want from the School District of Tomahawk? For our kids, for yourself, and for our community?” The event will include great conversation, community building and a light dinner on both nights.

Any school district is a reflection of the community it serves. Because we believe it is important to align community expectations to school operations, we feel two nights of discussions and listening is important. Attendance for both nights is mandatory if you would like to attend the event. We know your time is valuable. The information that we collect from the discussions over the two nights will contribute to the school district’s strategic plan development.
