TOWN OF TOMAHAWK – Town of Tomahawk Supervisor Dona Jahn was cited for disorderly conduct after making a threatening statement towards a man during a town meeting.
According to the police report from the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office, Michael Mackin, of Tomahawk, attended the Town of Tomahawk Town Board meeting Tuesday, July 9, to resolve an issue with an unpaid fire bill for a fire that occurred at N9572 Phalzgraff Road, Tripoli, in the Town of Tomahawk, on April 20. Mackin inherited the property after the property’s owner, Walter Pfalzgraff, of whose estate Mackin was executor, passed away.
Pfalzgraff was Jahn’s cousin, the report says. Mackin claimed he felt he was being “harassed” previously by Jahn due to past “issues” between Pfalzgraff and Jahn.
Mackin claimed to be unaware of the bill. Mackin’s real estate agent had recently told him that she had been informed a lien would potentially be put on the property for the amount of the bill.
The report states Mackin addressed the bill at the meeting. After being provided with a copy of a Post Incident Notice from the Tomahawk Fire Department, Mackin heard Jahn say, “If I had a gun I’d shoot him” when he had his back turned. The report says that Mackin confronted Jahn about the statement, but she did not respond.
Mackin told a responding Lincoln County Sheriff’s Deputy that at first he didn’t believe the threat was credible, but became unsure “because the suspect is unpredictable.”
The report states that multiple people present at the meeting corroborated that Jahn made the threat, and that Jahn denied making it.
Jahn was mailed a citation for disorderly conduct.
