Re: What do you think? Sale price vs. jobs

I think that it is hard to justify a 400,000 dollar loss. There also is no guarantee that the 25 jobs created would be filled by people that live in Tomahawk. In many cases residents from Merrill and Rhinelander come to work in Tomahawk and contribute little to the towns economy. Although, losing th...

Re: Never say never:

During the last year and a half, when Jacob was out on bond, I had the privilege to spend some time with him. I got to see him in December of 07 and the beginning of the summer of 08. We went out fishing together and did a lot of reminiscing and reflecting. Jacob worked at the Pizza Hut in town and ...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

Regrets: It has taken me a couple of days to get up the courage to do this. I realize now as I read over the conversations for the past few weeks and more importantly the recent ones from the horses' owner that I am wrong. I found it harder and harder to defend my friend after the wrongs he had done...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

I have to fix this because I know someone will say something.

*****I have to stop this whole thing. It's getting nowhere and you people are not worth arguing with.****

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

Like it or not Mr. Abnerman Horses are no different than the cow on your dinner plate. If you would have read any of the last posts that I put up then you would understand that I was trying to get across that a human beings life is more important than a **** horses, and that wanting Jacob to sit in ...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

To **** with the bridges! I will defend my good friend to the end. The bridges I once had in Tomahawk are of no consequence. I say again To **** with all my bridges! I want people to see what I have said and I don't care if it makes them think less of me. I will still walk in Tomahawk with my head h...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

Deb, Deb, Deb, I had to add this because I found it absolutely ridiculous. Do you realize what you are saying when you say pets will not turn on you? Everyday pets turn on there masters and others. I personally remember a few years back one of my friends sister's face was bitten severely by their fa...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

Deb Richardson Who are you to say there were no second thoughts given to invading these properties and stealing objects? Did you ask Jacob if he ever had a second thought? I think not. D Polar: It is not my intention to insult the victims of these crimes. You say these possessions held special memor...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

Catfish: You have some gall sir. You had no knowledge about these concealed weapons and you start throwing words around that Jacob could even go as far as kill someone. You don't know any of these individuals and don't know anything near as far as all the facts in this case. In addition, I've lived ...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

In my defense: I absolutely agree that these men need to be punished. They have done terrible wrongs and they need to understand that they are not in high school anymore and that they need to grow up. Hopefully prison will do this for them. I put one word that should not have been in my last post. T...

Re: Now it's my turn ... A sister's perspective

My name is Glenn Younger. I grew up with Jacob Baars, and I have been his best friend since the first grade. I am currently enrolled as a student at Texas A&M University at Galveston. I am member and leader within the Texas Maritime Academy. I first heard about the going ons in Tomahawk involvin...
