Zeus returns to Mt. Olympus

It has been a nice visit to the realm of the mortals, but it's time to return home. With the increasing incidents of what amounts to cyber road rage (when some members forget to take their medication [or take too much]) and the webmaster wanting to save space and Hera wanting that vacation (to visit...

Re: La Crosse Republicans support unconstitutional display o

Just what does ads of "half dressed women in provactive poses all over the country" have to do with the devil or anyone else for that matter? Yes, I see the young girls with their pubic musculature exposed. Amazingly, the complainers seem to be right wingers who hate government involvement...

Wausau Daily Herald Sun, Aug 17, 2003 All public property should be religion-neutral Subject: Church-state separation. Removing icons respects all faiths. More than three millennia ago, Moses descended from the mount, carrying tablets that held the Ten Commandments, Christians and Jews believe. Toda...

You know when people mispell my name, I put them on my "list". If the god in christian mythology was perfect, how come he became lonely? Also, after being around for an infinite amount of time, why did he all of a sudden get this craving for company? If he/she was complete and perfect, wha...

No, but gods generally are less expected to do so.

http://www.waow.com/ ran this poll this evening:

Does the power blackout make a case for building a new powerline in northern wisconsin?

No: 53.95%

Yes : 46.05%

Total Votes: 152

Has Dagger ever shown that she/he knows or cares that JFlosum is alive let alone what he or anyone else thinks?

Good subject line though.

I may be an old fashioned god, but how would you recognize a "satanist"? There are such Satan worship groups but I have never heard of one involved with spells, curses, etc. They are mostly nature religion related, but are favorites for being maligned by religious groups particularly of th...

Here's another great site on the issue:

Their speaker came to the Wausau area a few years back and appears regularly on radio stations including the ultra far right quack AM radio station out of Wausau (when the less radical host is sitting in).

Aphephilia, you would have to still act like even more of a contortionist to get control out my statements. If society urges people to utilize better dental hygiene, flossing, brushing, etc., is it control? Why is urging couple to refrain from having more than one or two children seen as "contr...

Re: Black Bear Mauls Two Men~

Nowhere did I advocate control or killing. Population stabilization can be acheived with voluntary family planning. The earths human population will double in 95 years and that of the U.S. in about 45 years. The myth of more forests now than prior to human impact is just that, a myth. Limbaugh, the ...

And don't forget the religious wars aphephilia. for example the St. Bartholomew's Day Massacre ( http://www.encyclopedia.com/html/S/StB1artho.asp ). These killed known fully developed people, not just fertilized eggs, zygotes, etc.

Re: Black Bear Mauls Two Men~

Of course the biblical terms "subdue" and "dominion" are not synonyms for destroy and manage. Rather than kill every thing else under the false guise of management and feeding families it would be far wiser to ensure that the human numbers are not overpopulated.

Marty, maybe you can use that for a nightlite if you can disable the zapper part. I wonder what the energy usage is on those things. I suspect the consumer is getting a double zap. I'm too abstract? If I was not a god I would be upset. I suppose in that gods are merely the abstracted ideological semblance of human aspirations, the "better angels" as Lincoln called them, it must be so. It's not easy being a god you know. One is never allowed the luxury of going on and...

Sad to say a half of dozen other countries have worse records. Are you trying to use your account to justify involving the world in a war on Iraq? If so explain why we aren't waging war on the many other countries guilty of actions such as this?

All the polls I have seen in the last 2-4 days are at 47-53% unless you ask "if with UN approval" which Bush does not have.
