Re: Greed at the fall ride !

Re: Kobe Bryant a sleazball?

I am not saying whether he is innocent or guilty, but it seems that many of you forget that accused are "innocent until proven guilty". I always have some doubts when a girl hollers "Rape/sexual assault" that involves a well-known, rich personality. Why does a 19 year old girl ge...

Re: Subdivisions being developed on Hillcrest Dr. & Hwy.

"I posted about the homes proposed to be built out on 107."
There is no 14 home sub-division being built on Hillcrest Drive. That plan was dropped a long time ago. It was foumd that the area that was proposed for the sub-division could not accomodate 14 lots due to various reasons.

Bradley Dam Boat Landing

I heard that WVIC is planning to build a boat landing at the Bradley Dam with parking area, boat ramp, walkway, picnic tables, and fishing area. What a great idea! Also heard that there are several people that are going to fight against it and already have a petition started. Why? This is one of the...

Re: Driving

"I agree with some colleagues that the legal driving age should be raised to 17 or 18." Baby...GET REAL!!! As a parent who has raised two children in this area and lives "in the boonies" it was impractical for them not to have a license at 16. Both had jobs, (one had 2 jobs at 14...

Re: Anti-War Protests - regular schedule

"maybe we can lead into an actual debate rather than useless bickering back and forth that this is turning into" Bickering??? And I thought it was a few people "stating their opinions". Thought that was what this "board" was for.... I've rather enjoyed the difference of...

Re: Offer your input Feb. 3 at school finances forum

I see all kinds of possibilities mentioned in the editorial: Larger class size, teacher cuts, extracurriculars, reduction in out-of-district travel and training, district office building generating revenue through rentals, or sold. I say, start at the top and look at paring down on administration fi...

"Most of the gas stations in Tomahawk are smoke filled by the people who work there. I do not even buy gas in Tomahawk because I choose to not breath their second hand smoke."
nugget,
You must not visit the local bars either and only patronize non-smoking resturants???

Our lake (and I'm not saying which lake, in the Tomahawk area)has rules on jet skiing and water skiing) limited to 10 a.m to 7 p.m. It has been that way for more years than I can remember. Way before jet skiis were invented. Before 10 and after 7 is for the fishermen and those who just want to enjoy...

"But we still do have a certain sympathy for Sarnow. While we are currently focusing on what he got, we need to remember what he gave up. There was his sizable salary, of course. And, at 53, he was into the home stretch of his career. Now he is back in the job market with a big black mark on hi...

Re: State budget plan starting to hit home

But we must all remember... If we lose the shared revenue, which will mean the loss of many services, it will not be the Governers fault,it will be the fault of the local governments(so he says). Yeah right!!!
