Re: RELIGION

It's been a long time since I've been able to read the messages on the board. But I can see that no matter how long I'm gone, the conversations seem to steer back to religion, etc. and baby is still on her box. Thanks for the laughs today, I needed them.

Re: John Kerry & John Edwards enjoy attacking family and

I don't get back to the board too often anymore and rarely have had time to post since the school year began. However, I couldn't resist giving Brian a resounding "Thank you" along with the other post-ers. Keep on 'googling', Brian.

Re: Larry, about your editorial...

The point that I took away from Steve's posts that I think he is trying to reiterate is the idea that although Larry's piece was an editorial, statements that are made need to be backed by credible resources. His comparison of the editorial to the CBS/Dan Rather fiasco of late is pointing to the pra...

baby, I should have expected nothing less of you than to chastize everyone for not posting "during an election year". I'll say what I'm sure everyone else thought when they read this, "Dawn, how wonderful it is that you are safe. I too know friends/family who went through the same har...

2004 Olympic Games

I hope this thread will be a good break from the political discussions of late.
I know I'm looking forward to watching the Games. I think the first event was scheduled for yesterday (Friday)--shooting?
I can't wait for the gymnastics and volleyball.
How about anyone else?

Re: Possible Postponed Elections?

This is the situation as I understand it... Last Sunday, Newsweek published an article stating that the Bush administration, specifically Tom Ridge (Sect. of DHS), requested a detailed report from the Office of Legal Counsel as to the necessary steps that would have to be taken to postpone elections...

Lest I be misquoted, misinterpreted, pigeon-holed, typecast, or harrassed, let this serve as an implied disclaimer for my subsequent statement. There is an trend in both scientific and theological circles toward a belief in "theistic evolution" where a connection between evolution and crea...

I don't recall anyone throwing derogatory remarks your way looks-too-far, why belittle me? I neither put down anyone's comments or posted any comment that anyone was 'beneath me'. My last post pointed out the fact that the frustration you exhibit could have been quelled weeks ago. We all know that t...

also, another point of information on genetic change in the last 10,000 years is sickle cell hemoglobin and persistence of intestinal lactase (which coincidentally you don't need to examine fossils for but rather coprolite which is fossilized fecal matter).
