A Day Of Great Men and Great Honor

No matter what a persons views are today they must never forget what has gotten us to the great country that we live in today. Just thought I would post this so that everyone understands what our vetrans have done for us and our freedoms. INGMAN, EINAR H., JR. Rank and organization: Sergeant (then C...

Re: Shop in Tomahawk ???????

This is a hard topic because you have to see both sides. For those of us in town that are lucky to have good jobs we can shop in Tomahawk and accept a few extra dollars but a good share of the people in town can not. I would be willing to say that the majority of people make less than 30,000 a year ...

Re: Lincoln County Policy

I think the thing that I wonder about more is the people who hire them. Are they breaking the law, and if they are who fines or jails them?

Re: Time for a new Judge

(Can you believe that judge Tluske took Lampe off of probation so he could wrestle in college. Why bother to take him to court if he doesn't even have to serve his sentence. I'm beginning to think that he and his attorney have something on this judge and can get anything he wants. That boy has a pro...

Re: Fired because of tattoo …

Do you remember when Walmart was found guilty of having Ileagle mexicans cleaning their stores but they claimed they were not at fault because it was a contracted company. They Lost. Harley always claims to be a big supporter of diversity and yet allows open discrimination go on inside their factory ...

Re: Logger shooting

I guess the thing that bothers me the most is that I have not seen any follow up on this story.
1. Are these guys still out there?
2. Was there any blood from others found out there?
3. Was the SUV ever found?

Nothing seems to add up in this story along with what the police have said up to now.

Re: Ups-n-Downs on Statewide Ban on Smoking

As a smoker I respect your opinion but do not embrace the resolution. I am very aware of when I smoke and where but I know that most are not. The problem is that tobaco is leagle and if you want things to change then get rid of tobaco because I will not support a ban on anything that is leagle. By t...

Logger shooting

What are your opinions on the recent shooting in the area? The story in the Rhinelander Daily News is wild to say the least, and it sounds to me like a new book in the making or maybe a movie of the week. If it is all true it is one of the wildest stories I have read. http://rhinelanderdailynews.com...

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

Rather than passing rules and enlisting a dictatorship in this country why don't they just get rid of ciggerets outlaw them all together. But the thing is that won't happen because our politicians get to many kickbacks from them. Instead the stupid people will just allow themselves to be controlled ...

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

Lets add another twist to this discussion. How many of you are over weight by the national standard? I would be willing to say at least 60%. Now take a look at the companies that have banned smokers from working for them and ask yourself how long before they ban you for being overweight. The reasoni...

Re: Looks like greed to me

Your very right Old Scout it is greed. The amout of money made off the Fall Ride in lets just say a 30 mile area is stagering compared to what they need to do the cleanup and for security. I would like to see a breakdown of these cost because I know a lot of the cleanup is not paid for by the City. ...

Re: Must be credence to cougar claims

Does anyone know who found the Baby Cougar on 86 because I know who hit it. He got out and looked at it but was afraid to call it in because he had been drinking. My wife and I saw the cougar, a full grown one by our house near the Mill 5 or 6 times and at first glance they look like a deer but as y...

Re: new jobs

Found this info but haven't checked the numbers yet but it is a start. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- On Thursday the economists - who had been forecasting 123,000 new jobs - were hedging their bets and hoping to get 100,000. Come Friday, it's 308,00...

Re: Trapped either way ...

From what I have read on this issue I would say that several trapping laws were violated. Including trap size, Type of set and placement of set. These are all laws out of the city of Tomahawks controll will there be any tickets issued?
