Re: Harley Supervisors

If the immaturity you show in your posts is a shining example of your attitude at work, it's no wonder you get reprimanded. You don't sound old enough to have a paper route, let alone an adult job.

Re: Organ Transplants ?

Hi Catfish, Yes, I'm sure. The myth that a donor's family bears any expense in a donation is, unfortunately, what keeps many from becoming potential donors. For more info, you can go to either of these websites: http://www.wisdonornetwork.org/why/faq.html http://www.livingbank.org/site/PageServer?pa...

No, a donor's family does not pay any medical costs associated with donation of organs.

aphe, what a great idea. Maybe the guy can't, for whatever reason, clean it up himself. You came up with a solution from the heart. Way to go!

Re: Cabin Fever

As long as we're talking French toast and pancakes here, I have to put in my 2 cents worth...the only pancakes worth eating are Swedish pancakes (mix available at larger grocery stores) with butter, lingonberry jam and powdered sugar, rolled up and eaten like a crepe. I like French toast best with b...

Re: Super Bowl Half Time

"Salivate and desperately search the internet for the bootleg copy of the incident in order to see the "real thing" with out the video obscured"? Medic, get a clue! Maybe you do are "desperately searching" for this crap, but believe it or not, with a full time job, kids...

Re: Asian Beetles

Wow! It sure is easy for some to blame the DNR for everything...but Asian beetles were actually introduced into Louisiana a couple of years ago to control insects that were causing trouble for the pecan trees. They eventually found their way up here, and everywhere else. So direct your angry phone c...

Re: The best rootbeer???

Hands down, the very best root beer is homemade. My mom used to make it when we were growing up. Essential ingredients were Hires root beer extract, clean Coke bottles and a bottle capper. I haven't had it since 1973, but can still remember the taste.

Re: Driving and breast feeding?

I just went to the website Flosum posted - I do believe that now, I've seen everything. Those parents have absolutely no feelings of wrongdoing whatsoever. They are certifiable.

Re: Garbage on streets 4th of July

We've learned to bring along an extra plastic grocery bag to put our garbage in after the parade. I will never understand why the city only provides a few garbage cans, considering the huge the number of people that attend the parade. Even if you are able to find a garbage can on Wisconsin Avenue, i...

What kind of info are you looking for? Bradley Park is a wonderful, huge place with a lot of history behind it. If you'll be more specific, maybe someone will respond to your request.

Re: Mr. Kottah Still Missed

A healthy debate on the board is not what Mr. Kottah seemed interested in. He was condescending, arrogant and interested only in getting people angry, at which time he'd step aside and play the injured little puppy. He was very good at it, too, until someone came along and rubbed his nose in his own...
