Paul Ryan's Fallacies

Top 5 Fibs In Paul Ryan’s Convention Speech •Medicare Ryan forged his reputation in large part by drafting and advancing an unpopular plan to dramatically cut and privatize Medicare. Though he didn’t mention that plan once on Wednesday, he included it in his last two budgets, both of which preserve...

Fall Campaign money being allocated for congressional races

Strange to see even the National Republican Congressional Committee describing Duffy's reelection campaign as tough. $738,000 in the Wausau, Wis., market earmarked for Rep. Sean Duffy’s (R) tough re-election bid in the 7th district. Some of the reservation in the Minneapolis market also covers Duffy...

Re: Walker

The recall results do cause one to doubt whether the right-wing really wants Wisconsin to go forward. But give Walker his day in the sun. Even Hitler was very popular for a few years. It will take years to undo the damage done socially, environmentally, and infrastructure wise once Walker is gone. M...

It is a global market. The oil will be sold at those prices and not necessarily in this country. It will have little or no effect on gas prices here.

Re: Recalls........a bad deal

True. Much of the recall frenzy going forward to elections now have been brought on by poor leadership skills. Whether one is in the military, teaching, in politics, or on a committee, the authoritarian style is fraught with problems. Maybe Walker chose it because he thought that with solid republic...

The actually bill makes it equally clear that this is about social engineering, not concern for child abuse.

Whenever I hear Senator Glenn Grothman speak I thing seriously that there should be some sort of psychological and sanity tests before legislators can be sworn in.

Re: Strip rights, then clothes

What is frightening is the escalating threats of violence of the Walker supporters who now fear that he or a republican senator may be recalled. Look at the case of Carl Sosnoski threatening to kill a Recall petitioner practicing his contitutional rights. You may check the WI Circuit Court systems f...

None of these incidents would be occurring if it where not for the lack of statesman abilities in Scott Walker. Never before in history has a governor gone to recall and polarized and divided the citizens to this extent. The Tea Party Pawns wanted him, they got him. http://www.deathandtaxesmag.com/3...

After all Walker's bragging and commercials about his great strides in tax reductions I opened my property tax bill this afternoon. The state tax went down .75 cents. Overall they were down almost 20 dollars but 10 of that was due to an increase in the Lottery tax credit. I have gotten bigger reduct...

As indicated by others, the big difference is that the family would never consider solving its budget problems by cutting off its income. Yes you can cut spending but at what point do you want to reduce the standard of living? to a Mississippi? Arkansas?

You leave out the disproportiate donation of money to republicans from groups like the Koch brother and other polluters, and anti-citizen groups. For example AT&T gave John Boehner, (R-OH) $77,300 versus Harry Reid, (D-NV) $31,750 . I say we should have publicly financed campaigns and end the sy...

Re: Voter ID and the Koch Brothers???

I agree with those who think the "sky is falling" mentality is being overplayed. Past governors of both parties have dealt with similar deficits. In past budgets governors interjected much less ideology. Scott Walker keeps telling us the sky is falling and he must get everything he wants. ...
