Re: Trapped either way ...

It is indeed sad to hear about the trapping accident that left an pet owner with out thier friend. But instead of putting up signs that say "DANGER - trapping is in effect", perhaps one that says that Tomahawk has a Leash Law and you are required to control your pet in such a manner at all...

Re: Pete Rose

Hmm let us look at one of the most revered members of the hall of fame -- Babe Ruth. He had an amazing career and is idolized to this day, not to mention he was a womanizer, gambler, glutton, and violent man who beat his wife... Pete Rose was a heck of a baseball player, but a crappy human being. So...

Ok Bob, I'll bite... First of ll allow me to state that I am a card carrying Republican, so what I have to say may disturb you as much as it disturbs me. Secondly, I am an emergency services provider and I have attended numerous classes and trainings on the so called Weapons of Mass Destruction or W...

Allow me to restate my position vis a vis your "extorted" silence. To wit, "I do not agree with what you say, but I will defend, even unto death, your right to say it." So yes, by all means excercise your rights, to that you are 100% correct, and I stand corrected. But as with ev...

If I run into any Kuru Tribesman in the near future, I will be sure to bring my own lunch... I thought that all of the tail wagging t...

Hmm by last count hunting and or eating venison can be hazardous for the following reasons: 1) Hunting Accidents; and, 2) Lymes Disease from ticks; and, 3) West Nile Virus from the skeeters; and, 4) CWD from allegedly eating contaminated venison; and, 5) e-coli from eating poorly processed meats; an...

You have got to be kidding me. It sounds like the loudest of the whining is coming from you guys. Re: Paramedic Service in Tomahawk?

Nell,
Paramedics are trained to perform Needle Chrichotyrotomy, Surgical Chrichothyrotmy, and Retrogrdade intubations. Not all of these procedures are allowed by state laws at this time, but suffice it to say Paramedics have a large toolbox to work from including many advanced airways.

Re: Paramedic Service in Tomahawk?

Mark, Actually Lincoln County EMS - Tomahawk Division is not currently paramedic level. LCEMS is licensed as an EMT-IV level service. This level of certrification allows the EMTs to start IV lines as well as give certain kinds of medications that are more advanced then the EMT-Basic level. Included ...

Re: How do you like the "new" location of the hosp

Fushia, you missed my point. We have been "roaring up and down 4th street" since there was a 4th street. Moving the hospital puts no more traffic on the roads then in years previous. Lets face4 it, there are only a limited number of roadways to get around Tomahawk, with 4th street being th...

Re: How do you like the "new" location of the hosp

Hmm... Seems to me that 4th street was already there when we were in the old building. There is no more emergency traffic then years past. I like the new facility and its location. At least now we don't have to tie up the fire department when we need the helicoptor. <small>[ July 06, 2003, 09:07 PM:...
