Re: immagrants

Why should it be so difficult to find non-registered immigrants? As soon as they apply for free assistance it should be recorded who and where they are.

Opening our borders & granting citizenship to illegal entrants, good idea? With many US jobs going outside US maybe US citizens will have to take jobs currently unattractive. I think many problems to result from GWB's immigration attitude. Agree or disagree?

Solar did move out in mid 60's. I was one who left them in 1964 'cause I saw the handwriting on the wall. MY error, I confused it with the old corrugated box plant that was housed in the building before Solar came to town.

Brian: As a member of the Knights of Columbus I fail to see the humor in your reference to our Organization if that was supposed to be humor. I suspect that breakfast sign may be hanging in your family room.

In addition to above, it's one thing to protest but to desecrate our Nation's flag in the process is just absolutley inappropriate. Try doing that in other countries.

Re: Anti-War Protests - regular schedule

Of course freedom of speech should be encouraged and defended. But it ought be excersized with some common sense. I can't help thinking the protesters are only contributing to lengthening hostilities by encouraging our adversaries to keep fighting in expectations of our Government giving up similar ...

I live just below Kings dam. Season is open all year for all species except bass and muskies. That is from Kings dam to the Fourth St. bridge. Walleye limit of (5) and 15" size limit. Ice does skin over in extreme cold but never safe to walk on.

Reference to article in Minaqua paper. If this comes to be, shouldn't appropriate adjustments be made to property taxes, transfer some assesment from lakeshore owners to off water owners to compensate for usage?

If someone decides to use a "private" dock and somehow sustains an injury on said dock, Is the dock owner liable? Can users of public waters be sued for damage to shoreline from boat wakes etc?
