Antioch:

I suggest you re-read my comments. Nowhere have I advocated population "control."

Your other comments are reminiscent of a former poster: "Baby". "Nonsequitur" was her motto.

Jeff accurately portrayed some of the conflicts between individual self-serving activities of some residents and the health of our public water ways. People can make their comments official on a variety of water related issues being discussed at the NR115 Hearings. Details at: http://www.dnr.state.w...

Re: Tomahawk not the Northwoods anymore.

There is nothing sacred about private property. You see the beginnings of it in our legal system per what was passed to our "founding fathers" per English philospher John Locke. No one ever complete owns anything physical in an unqualified sense. Since than it has been a contentious issue....

Well that is pretty good. One of the other forum posters and I once had a little contest to see who could get the longest diatribe out of Jflosum with the shortest prompting post. I guess you would come in a close second in lengthly replys. You may wish, exhort, threaten or whatever for me to be sil...

Re: Tip hat out of respect:

Why would anyone place a cross on ground zero? The someone you speak of may have placed some special significance in this ancient symbol of torture and death but we as a nation are a pluralistic sectarian state and it is inappropriate for the nation to lend to the establishment of religion.

Re: With All Due Respect

You got one thing right, you're wrong about me working for the government. Most government workers take a civil service exam or two (or a lot) to get their job, make no more or often less than comparable non government employees, and then have to put up with whining schleps that if they had their ch...

Baby, under your distorted irrational thinking, it is illegal to drive a car because you have to pay a fee for the registration. I also pay to recycle although the fee is paid through my taxes to the township to contract with the recyclers. Yes, Bush has had a detrimental impact on the economy of Wi...

And now Bush and Cheney want to plunder even more money from the taxpayers. With all the right wingers whining about taxes, why don't they straighten this clown out? You can't spend it if you are not taking it in.

Plus the imbecile is spending us into debt at a record pace while expending American lives in the process while chasing shadows on the other side of the world while not a dime spent to address the right-wing militia terrorists preparing their attacks here at home.

There has never been a confirmed case of a wolf attacking a human in the wild in the U.S.. Vehicles kill 45,000 a year and guns 12,000 a year in the us and no body gives a ****. They worry about the one killed by a cougar per year, the two killed by bear, the 12 by snake bite (mostly children in the...

I prefer the term "voluntary population stabilization" to "population control". I know of no group right, left, pro-life, or pro-choice that advocates population control. I suspect this woman did not intend to become pregnant. You can blame the man, the woman, both or work to see...

That is the legal problem. They are religious promotions on public display at public expense (public land, public maintenance). Most were put there without public input at times when these violations were tolerated.

Re: Black Bear Mauls Two Men~

The availability of contraceptives and access to preventing pregnancy is a good idea for those who want to voluntarily limit the size of their family. The opposite extreme would in fact force women to have children that they (and the father) often don't want and cannot afford. I cannot even imagine ...
