Re: What this town needs...

Back when I flaunted that thick, studly, disco mane in the late 70's, I didn't mind going to a 'beauty salon' for a shampoo, razor cut, and a blow dryer and brush. I was eye candy for the ladies. 30 years or so later, however, what's left can be combed with a damp washcloth. :p Today I prefer walk-i...

You're only two blocks off. It was on Railway Street north of the old Hi-Ryder building between the tracks and what is now the library.

Re: Tattoos

To me, no fancy-schmancy tattoo parlors can match the breathtaking beauty and simple pureness of the classic 'love' 'hate' applied to the knuckle/finger area with a ballpoint pen and a sewing needle. If the 'crucifix with rays' also appears on the mitts of said brethren (and cistern?), so much the b...

You know it is amazing how cyberspace seems to facilitate courage in most people who would never be able to muster it otherwise. In viewing the previous posts it is quite apparent that if all the participants were put in the same room they would likely hardly speak a word. Name the room, anonymous ...

Re: Deer Hunting Laws/Etiquette???

Sorry that you've had to experience that. Yes, there are 'slob' hunters and no, they (or anyone else for that matter) should not be on your property without your consent. The only way to retrieve a game animal when the property owner denies permission is to contact the DNR. The warden will take poss...

Re: Hey Bush Bashers!!

I agree with the sentiments expressed by ski. :( I'm bummed out but I also find that even though my candidate didn't win this one, I can more easily accept (albeit grudgingly) the results since things appear to be more 'legitimate' than the last time we did this. I will say that I'm ****ed proud to ...

Re: Who reads the propaganda political mailings?!?!?

Out here in the boonies, I get a half dozen or so varieties each day. I just wish that they'd put a little more thought into the final use and make them a little more absorbent and a lot more flushable.

Dear baby: Thank you for doing so much to educate people regarding God's Law. I have learned a great deal from you, and try to share that knowledge with as many people as I can. When someone tries to defend the homosexual lifestyle, for example, I simply remind them that Leviticus 18:22 clearly stat...

Re: John Kerry & John Edwards enjoy attacking family and

I always enjoy a good MJC 135 rant, at least for the humor value. They are usually heartfelt but so chock-full of unsupported accusations, right-wing propaganda and biased opinion stated as 'fact' that it would take the Special Response Team from factcheck.org days just to sort through it all. Anywa...
