Old Scout, I never accused anyone of being confused. I only relayed the information found on the DOT website. So I guess the DOT was confused?

Re: 35W Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis

The one I had referred to was the main one in town, not the one by King's Dam. In any case, it isn't the one with the bad rating, it's the one out on 86 to E. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: 35W Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis

Actually, I stand corrected. The bridge in Tomahawk that has the 46.6/D rating is the 86 bridge, NOT the one that goes over the river/51 bridge.

Re: 35W Bridge Collapse in Minneapolis

That bridge had a score of 50, the bridge in Tomahawk that goes over the river has a score of 46.6 and a Status of "D" which means the bridge has been rated structurally deficient. I know it has no where near the traffic as the one that collapsed in Minneapolis but still ...

Re: Policy needs to change …

It really is hard to believe and very disheartening to know that I could be yelling and screaming and in the process of being murdered ... the neighbors call in a complaint of hearing me yelling and screaming...the police show up, they don't hear anything, and therefore do not enter my residence. I'...

Re: Hate Groups?? Unbelievable

Nope, I absolutely do not expect the world to revolve around me. If I did, I would demand all people to smoke and pay lobbyists to fight for a LAW that forces everyone to smoke.

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

cigarette sales have fallen? could have fooled me, we sell more cigarettes than anything else at the convenience store where I work my second job. I would guesstimate that about 85 to 90% of the people I wait on during a shift; buy cigarettes, cigars, or snuff. I'm not saying it's a healthy addictio...

Re: Protect inspector’s health …

Life is all about choices. When we apply for a job and accept the position, then we either need to deal with what we "signed up" for or put in our resignation and find something more suitable for us (kind of like marraige :D ). We can't expect the world to revolve around us.

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

I think we should ban ALL motor vehicles, anything that has EXHAUST! Afterall, automobile emissions are far more deadly than cigarette smoke. Don't believe me? Then sit in your car, in the garage, with the door shut, with the motor running while I sit in a bar full of smokers. We'll see who comes ou...

At least 10 members have children in the armed forces who have been to Iraq or could be headed there, adding another layer of anxiety and unease to an already wrenching decision.
