Re: So Proud of Tomahawk

Yes, those are the most popular apps. However, considering consumers are buying way more iOS devices than schools and businesses are, it makes sense that games and "fun" apps are the most used. Exactly, which makes them primarily used as toys. Just because Lockheed Martin can control sate...

Re: So Proud of Tomahawk

Also, I would still maintain that they are primarily toys. I would be willing to bet that the ratio of game apps to business apps downloaded to ipads is roughly 10:1. It's a bit like saying, "I bought my smartphone so I can access my e-mails." That may be true part of the time, but most of...

Re: So Proud of Tomahawk

I understand the benefit of portability for professionals, but the application here is students doing homework. I don't see where that would justify paying $400+ for an ipad when a $200 laptop will have the same capabilities, or at least will provide the functionality to meet the demands of a high s...

Re: So Proud of Tomahawk

IMO, tablets are still primarily toys. I can see where they would be more useful for younger students where interactive games and programs increase interest, but the middle and high school students shouldn't need those things to keep them on task. I've never been a fan of the iPad for several reason...

Re: Gun Control Law Proposals

Thank you, President Obama, for pursuing common sense reforms to help protect Americans being slaughtered by military style assault rifles that have no place in civilian life. My only advice would be to not listen to the crazies out there and continue to move this country Forward. Please define a &...

And once again, stop trying to change what my suggestions are. Now you're talking about registration and taking away big forks and spoons. Have I said ANYTHING about limiting the guns or magazines? NOPE, because I don't believe that will actually help anything. I realize that wasn't your argument, ...

Re: Gun Control Law Proposals

Kerry,if someone is overweight, making them register their forks and knives is not going to make them any skinnier. Neither is taking away their big forks and spoons so they only have small ones. No amount of regulation or litigation is going to change the intent and actions of the person in questio...

Re: Gun Control Law Proposals

One law or one hundred laws will not stop someone who is intent upon committing a crime with a gun or any other weapon/means. Further regulating those who choose to follow laws does nothing to deter those who don't care about laws. One person with no criminal record can supply a large group of peopl...

Welcome to the Republican Party. Typical whinny response from a liberal democrat, if someone is more successful than you. If I can't have it, take away from them. Since when is it wrong for someone to work hard and get a good job that pays well. I thought that is what capitalism was all about. Work...

Sounds like someone who wasn't invited to the party and can't stand the idea of someone else having a good time. For two nights a year, I don't see anyone suffering all that much by having the band playing until 11:00. Once the band shuts down the town is pretty much empty within a half hour...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

Reduced traffic in town, kids can sleep without hearing a train of motorcycles every two minutes, no loud music... I'm failing to see a downside here. I was also glad to see the police have again increased their forces. The message is still falling on some deaf ears, but hopefully soon they will get...

Re: Obamacare

Apparently some people still have no idea what is in the new Health Care Law. They didn't nationalize anything. They may not be taking ownership of the medical facilities, but they are absolutely taking over how patients are treated. Taken from the following link: http://www.reddit.com/r/explainlik...

Re: Obamacare

Obamacare does have good ideas within it, however nationalized healthcare is a bad idea. In the short term, yes some people will benefit. However, the VA system and Medicare are good examples of why the nationalized system is going to negatively implact the entire healthcare system. Decreased reimbu...

Considering the Walker/Anti-Worker forces outspend the Democrats 7-1, Barrett still won 47% statewide, and the Recall flipped Senate control. Not much to brag about on Walker's side. Just think if we had a fair election system. Barrett lost TWICE. The second time due to recall. Democrats have had m...
