Re: Amertican Legion Opposes latest Walker power grab

I hope the American Legion has some ideas on how to reduce some waste and provide a system that better cares for its patients. I've personally seen VA hospitals make decisions that are irresponsible to patient care and financial awareness. I won't say the system is broken, but it certainly is not fi...

Re: Illegal to grow your own food-no backyard gardens

How big of a garden to you plan to grow, Catfish? "The bill would increase the FDA's regulatory authority over the food production system in order to prevent contamination and food-borne illness outbreaks. It would give the FDA mandatory recall authority, require food producers to have qualifyi...

Re: Voter ID and the Koch Brothers???

I agree that some form of identification should be required to vote. Simply stating a name and address that complies with a list is not sufficient. That being said, I agree that more should be done to make ID cards available to people. Creating a cost that requires people to pay in order to exercise...

Re: State Budget, State Workers

Lets talk about how some Assembly members couldn't even get into the Capitol 30 minutes before the session was supposed to start yesterday morning. From what I have found, the inability of legislature to prohibit the public from entry during meetings does not extend to the governor or the state cou...

Re: State Budget, State Workers

Just to clarify, this is NOT what democracy looks like! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a5sx-4i5y0E No, he was definately over run at the meeting. However, democracy is found in the process and options he has to go to the judicial system to rule on this issue. Democracy doesn't look like the tail li...

KEN wrote:"So which Republican had a family member at this massacre?"

What`s your point?

As I posted earlier, I completely misread the statement, so the question is moot.

However, my other comments and questions still stand.

Kerry, you're right. I completely misread that statement.

However, my other challenges still stand. Regarding the rest of your post, I'll have to respond when I have a little more time and am not replying via cell phone.

Last night in Madison, Wis., Afternoon, but keep going, in the dead of night, 3:42 pm to be exact, Senate Republican rammed through a bill after a few hours of deliberation and being the second time the assembly was voting on the bill, that strips Wisconsinites of the collective bargaining rights e...

Is the idea that it was passed illegally and will be overturned just because you don't like it or do you have some criteria that you are basing this on?

You can thank the Democratic Senators for that. Also, considering that Lena Taylor has apparently requested an absentee ballot, they will be on vacation a little while longer.

That may be true, but that is probably because the average voter does little to no research on the candidates they vote for. I have a hard time finding sympathy in that situation.

Neup99, Not sure where you've been, but I have taken cuts as a state employee. And that's on a job that I took for less money than I was making at my job in the private sector. Or, maybe it just means that you don't need a college education to understand that the budget needs to be corrected and everyone needs to make concessions to make that happen.
