Re: Elect new leader …

I'm a little wary of him because he comes out and says he stands with the "shrub" (little bush), on this, that, and the other thing. The shrub isn't too popular now, with VERY LOW approval ratings. Why would someone want to ally with someone so un-popular? Wouldn't you want to play that af...

Re: Merrill city attorney cited, who knew?

Yes, it's Hush-Hush in Merrill. Seems it's who you know. Protect each other if you're a "good ol" boy. Didn't know about the city attorney but reminds me of a similar story with me:.... I was sitting in a Merrill restaurant eating breakfast one Sunday morning when the waitress asked me if ...

Re: Dangerous legislation ...

The McCarthy Era was nothing. Welcome to the Orwelian Era. How did old George know back in the 30's, living in Britain, know what it was going to be like in America right now? Telescreens, No Privacy in your own home, sophisticated listening devices, parabolic microphones, cameras everywhere, expres...

China don't tell North Korea anything. Korea's running things.
By the way, has anyone seen the movie, "Team America-World Police" hilarious, but so true! Rent it and watch it.

Re: Dog Killer

What a sad state of affairs, that cases by the detectives in Lincoln County have to be placed on a priority level. Breaking the law is breaking the law. Certain cases get attention and certain cases are forgotten about because of lack of time. I am personnaly very agitated by this situation. it seem...

Re: Ups-N-Downs - Hatchet Logo

Wow, you're still beating this thread to death. I think Elizabeth Burmaster has even forgotten it already. The Hatchet's will always be the Hatchet's. Try to tell any court of law that hatchet is an Indian word. Hatchet isn't any more Indian than saw or axe, hammer or nail, screwdriver or pliers. It...

Re: Ups-n-Downs on Statewide Ban on Smoking

Some people think that having smoking and non-smoking areas in restaurants is adequate. Wrong! That’s no better than having a no peeing section in a swimming pool! Funny, but so true. Case in point: Tomahawk Family Restuarant.(others as well) The no smoking section is divided by a glass partition ab...

Thank You logic1, PEACE and LOVE from an old Woodstock hippy now riding a bike. It's just that I lose patience with closed and narrow minded people. I can see you are not one. My post stands for those who are. I always say, "What ever gets you through the night, is all right" "Fall mo...

logic1.... let's not make this thread be another Fall Ride Bashing. The topic is, "What's Great About Tomahawk" It's not "What is wrong with one of the great things that happen in Tomahawk" I mentioned many events in Tomahawk that are great; Pow Wow Days, Boat and Motor Show, Car...

Re: WHATS GREAT ABOUT TOMAHAWK

What's great about Tomahawk is the Fall Ride. The community has expressed opinions of pros and cons about the Fall Ride, but what other event actually gets NATIONAL attention to Tomahawk. While Pow Wow Days, Car Shows, Boat and Motor shows etc. are in the news and are real kool, none of them get Nat...

Re: animal cruelty case

She only bonded out of custody for $500. She still has to have a court trial. There, is where she should and would pay the consequences. She could face heavy fines or even jail time. They ought to sock it to her, being it's her second offense. That was a disgustingly cruel environment she operated t...

Thank you both, Anita and MJC135, for your replys. I too, have a failed liver and do not fall into any of the risk groups. The doctors say my test results are "unremarkable" in that they don't know why. I was told by the liver specialist in Marshfield that when your liver fails your spleen...

Anita, are you sure? I would be glad to let someone use my parts and would list it on my driver's license, but somewhere along the line I had heard that there would be an expense to your next of kin. I wouldn't want to burden my loved ones with any additional expense. On the side of donating, I have...
