Re: Hurricane Katrina

While realizing how large the area is that is effected still doesn't fly as an excuse. We delivered water and supplies to the Tsunami disaster within hours. The hurricane hit on Monday and now being Friday, Fema is moving in. That's five days later folks. Today the Fema director said they didn't kno...

Re: Hurricane Katrina

Each hour that Cafferty dude on CNN poses a question to be responded to via e-mail. He asked what people thought of the governments efforts in this situation. Within 20 min. 3500 e-mailers replied with varying negative comments. The one that I thought hit the nail on the head was someone saying that...

Re: Tomahawk High School Sports

Speaking of parents evaluation of coaches reminds me of an incident that happened during, or I should say after that championship game I mentioned. All season , as I had said, each kid got to play at least a whole quarter of each game. The championship game was tight and usually on a two point sprea...

Re: Tomahawk High School Sports

As far as cutting four girls from being on the team, that is a shame. I coached 5th and 6th grade basketball for several years. Each year all of the schools (MAPS) fielded each and every kid that wanted to be on the team. There was no "trying out". We got what we got. Our purpose was to te...

Re: WJJQ Trading Mart

Now Deb, Did you think that I thought that you thought.......I mean...did you think that I thought that you didn't know the difference between banter and barter? I was having a moment..thinking about the words...tin-man tip-man, banter-barter...even my momma didn't know how to take me, I'm not bent ...

Thank you Tinman, for the tip-man. Deb,do know that banter is not barter? Kerry-they're not selling ads. It's a service to their listening audience. Hows about some free classifieds as a service to your reading audience? and.....last, but not the least,....Tenacious T, Thank You. You get the drift. ...

WJJQ Trading Mart

Have you ever tried to get on Trading Mart? It is very difficult and frustrating because the line is always busy with so many people trying to get on. It is only a half hour program on weekday mornings. I believe its purpose is to be a 'service' to the radio stations listening audience. With so many...

The Pope, this year his name is Kasinsky, next year he'll be Rabinovitz. This is a holy father that originally vowed a life of poverty but now lives like a very rich, servanted bachelor. Yes, I was brought up Catholic. Eight years of High Mass six days a week. Yea, I'm guilty. That's what they taugh...

Re: Looks like greed to me

I can see both sides of the fence on this issue, as I have been on each side. As it is, and as it is proposed, the spaces at Sara Park are $350.00 and the cities "permit" will be $200.00, totalling $550.00. A crappy spot in "Sturgis" or "Daytona Bike Week" is $5,000.00,...

Yes, THAT man had called in to the DNR reporting his being stalked by the wolves after hearing the news broadcast about the first unfortunate. The second man claimed to be in the same area. Thanks for responding, cause I'm not nuts, a little silly now and then, but not crazy. I used to be crazy back...

Whoa, wait a minute , I'd be pulling a trailer if I was hauling furniture, let's drop that milage down to 10 mpg. 1/3 more on...

Re: Is God Really a Republican?

While this post is about God being a Republican, I'm not sure, but they do know for sure that Columbus was a Democrat. They've concluded that when he left he didn't know where he was going, and when he got there, he didn't know where he was, and to make matters worse, he did it all with someone else...

Re: Must be credence to cougar claims

In respect to the sighting near the H overpass, we have a flock of sheep near there and we came up with two missing a couple months ago without any explanation. By the way, has anybody heard about the guy up in Iron County that was stalked and eaten by 4 wolves? They found his boots and shredded clo...

I don't know what 'odd bodkins' means but that was 2-kool. Reminds me of my rides down the Needles highway out in Stoygis. It surely didn't show any Milwaukee Iron, but truly cahones of steel. Thanks for the invigorating ride , right in the middle of winter. Do you know which highway that was?

License cats? How in the world would you enforce that? People keep their cats in the house, so how would anyone know who had a cat. Maybe the neighbors could drop a dime and become "cat cops". Then we could send somebody over to the house at a salary of let's say, $38,000, with a search wa...

One time on my way home from the post office I was driving a Dodge pick-up truck that apparently had some electrical problems. It died right in the middle of the intersection by the F&M Bank. I got out and began to push it off the road when all of a sudden a group of about five or six kids that ...
