Re: State Budget, State Workers

Old Scout are you sure about the $61,000? I think that's a little high. Could be wrong. I'm sure there are some that are, if so it would be those with a Masters degree, those with many years of service and those that do above pay duties such as coaching and advising extra curricular activities . Min...

Re: State Budget, State Workers

I don't see how this doesn't scream nepotism. I don't see how someone with one ounce of common sense would do this. Maybe there was a reason that Dodge County didn't want Fitzgerald as their sheriff again. http://host.madison.com/wsj/news/opinion/editorial/article_b0884557-ba54-5230-90f9-5eab74dffc2...

Re: State Budget, State Workers

I found yet another article that makes me think that Gov. Walker could be the pawn in a much bigger plan. Reference to the Koch brothers. I found that the last paragraph particularly meaningful.

Re: State Budget, State Workers

Great links Kerry thanks for sharing. Very informative. If ignorance is bliss I lead the way in blissfulness. Might I add and this is i just my humble opinion, that those who consider the opinions of others and the information they have to offer as nothing more than the proverbial dog poo on the sho...

Kerry wrote: As far as the links. Ideally links should include some opinion too. We would rather you link to the content so the author's website gets the traffic they deserve, but there should be a comment on your opinion of why it's important, etc. in most cases. Actually, tooten the message board administrator prefers links.

Also tooten have you provided the names of these golfing professors, their tee times, and respected golf courses so the UW can deal with them?

Re: State Budget, State Workers

Well said Kerry. Another link to shed some light on just "awesome" Gov. Walker isn't. http://www.alternet.org/newsandviews/article/479560/12_things_you_need_to_know_about_the_uprising_in_wisconsin/ I just love how when presented with black and white facts so many Walker supporters call the...

Re: State Budget, State Workers

Did anyone see the governor on FOX Sunday AM? Way to side step questions and put an "I" in governor. Who cares that your brother has lovely children, your sister-in-law works for Sears and they pay $800 per month for insurance. That wasn't the question presented to you. Not of fan of FOX b...

Re: Tomahawk High School

Rumor has it that the reason Walker never finished at Marquette was due to his mudslinging campaign for student body president and possible "missing" paper work from the campaign that could have damaged him. Me thinks me smells a rat here.

Re: Tomahawk High School

I wonder if the fact that Walker dropped out of Marquette, with a reported 2.2 GPA, and has never gotten a degree is part of the reason he seems to not hold education/educators in high regard. I'm not saying you need to have a college degree to be in politics. I'm just saying education doesn't seem ...

Re: Northwoods Miscellanea

Good idea Jeff. We've had a cell phone since 1988 or rather my husband has. Original phone was over $600, now free. It's crazy how I've become dependent on mine. My husband refuses to text or even learn. For me it's a quick easy way communicate without long dragged out pointless conversations.
