Re: Bucket List - Anyone have one?

Catfish, don't even get me started on Television. What's with these people? If they outlawed vomiting, farting and fornicating from TV, there would be nothing left but golf. Well maybe not even golf with all of the open mic's out there. And Hollywood is no better, in fact significantly worse. I forg...

Re: Bucket List - Anyone have one?

Hey Ski... I remember that Corvette well and I also remember that Hudson. Not to mention Cow Pie Stadium, Jersey Cities version of Field of Dreams.

I went through the nostalgia car thing some years back. Spent a fortune on redoing a 55 Chevy convertible and 60 Chevy coupe.

Bucket List - Anyone have one?

Ok, here it is the Bucket List thread or otherwise known as Floyd needs to get a life!  (have to read the dog park thread to get that one) Does anyone have a bucket list they want to share? My wife has one with about 100 items on it, but they all start with dumping me and marrying Bill Ga...

Re: Dog Park benefits

Deb!!   Well that too goes on at the dog park, but I was stooping pretty low talking about pooper-scooper and didn't want to mention that aspect of the park. But ya, that happens too. And more then you would guess. It was one of the main reasons they had to separate the small dogs fo...

Re: Dog Park benefits

Oh, I agree with you on that Kerry. Our dog park here came out of the necessity to get the dogs out of the main part of the park and yes, there is a much larger population base. I also agree with tooten that all possible uses of that land should be explored. But I thought that was being done. We hav...

Re: Dog Park benefits

A dog park can be a pretty cool thing if it is done right. We have a rather large county park here and for years people just took their dogs out there and let them run around in the open areas including the picnic areas. A lot of people complained so they started a rather aggressive enforcement prog...

Re: Dog Park benefits

What, no pooper-scooper law in that park? Gots to have a pooper-scooper law. If for no other reason you have to have one so the police chief can threaten screw-ups at the pd that if they do not straighten up they will be pulling poop patrol at the dog park.

Re: Ammunition

Micro-stamping, another one of those end-around plays to get guns out. You can fight it but you need to know that until you change the politicians, you are whizzing in the wind. You can't have it both ways, a liberal controlled government and the right to bear arms. Taking that right away form you i...

Re: Should Cheney Clam Up ?

The trouble is, there is no such thing as "the loyal opposition" any longer. It has become the "vicious, malicious, mean-spirited, lying, cheating, anything is fair to discredit them, opposition". Both parties. Some argue that politics has been that way forever. But back in 1700-...

Re: Ammunition

Oh, you can bet... it is coming... the biggest assault against gun ownership in the history of this country. Not only will there be direct attacks but there will be many end around attempts like controlling ammunition and seeing to it that it made very limited and very expensive. Read the story belo...

Re: Stupid new laws...

It seems like it is going to the ruination of bar life as we know it. But all the bars around here that went smokeless merely put a smoking section somewhere outside and it's business as usual. Of course I don't ever remember 10 below zero here in sunny California. Well there was that one night game...

Re: Ammunition

Obama and Democrats are also looking to bail out Minority-owned radio stations. Keep in mind that bail-out means the same as ownership and/or control as they did with GM and Chrysler. Gon control, media control... hmmmm... remind you of anything particular in history? Democrats seek financial rescue...

Hey Trapper Dave!

Then you must have learned how to play pool in the last 40 years!

Is that why you moved back to Tomahawk, missed the trapping?? Do they even allow that kind of trapping anymore?

Re: Road Lake history? Does anyone have any info, pictures?

Kenny Urso, Fred Milligan (sp?) and Ken Kruger were all in the Sacramento and/or Bay area at one time. But that was way back a number of years. Not sure where they are now. Someone told me Urso moved back to Tomahawk once. But I'm not sure. There are a number of THS'ers in the Golden state. Classmat...

No more deductions, will your favorite charity survive?

I don't want to start a big political debate but can you believe they are considering "curbing the ability of wealthier people to reduce their tax bills through deductions for mortgage interest, charitable contributions and state and local taxes". http://www.etaiwannews.com/etn/news_conten...

Ken, yes that is the one. We ended up in the ditch right in front of what was the Merrill Woolen Mills (?) I believe is what it used to be called. I think the crash had more to do with ice then alcohol. The only serious injury accident I remember was the one where the Corvette driven by a guy form s...

Never heard of anyone reporting the effects of secondhand drinking? I like this approach of banning smoking in public places such as bars, restaurants and all businesses. This is a far more direct and honest approach then taxing cigarettes. Governments have in effect gone into business with the toba...

Re: Road Lake history? Does anyone have any info, pictures?

There was a lot of accidents coming back form some of these bars. My brother put his 53 Chevy in the woods coming back form Hoovies one night, thank goodness no one was hurt. I was the passenger in a Chevy Corvette that also found that same swamp as that 57 T-bird, and I remember the owner of that T...
