Re: Spirit River Dam

"Went past the dam today and there were some guys that appeared to be working on the problem area. Not sure what they were doing but perhaps it is a start."

Old Scout , have you, or anyone, seen any work related activity going on at the dam since your last post? :?:

Re: Spirit River Dam

I think the powers in charge have just been dragging their feet on the dam issue too long.

It`s been going on for three years now.

Consistent low water levels equals lower property values. BUT, property taxes keep going up! :(

Unions were absolutely needed at one time. That time has passed as they've become too powerful and just as heinous as any corporation. That post is right out of the bizzaro world. Almost everying is actually just the opposite. 1st - Unions are needed now more then ever. Crooked politicians and gree...

Re: Harley layoffs

Remember that time unions saved Detroit from going under? :?: There was a little more involved in Detroit`s decline. Detroit was a one product town. The union wages helped make it a middle-class town. There were neighborhoods and towns with nice houses, with families, going to schools and ch...

Re: Harley layoffs

It`s all part of the "Divide and Conquer" strategy. Get rid of Unions is the first step in getting rid of the middle-class. More workers , working for less money, and no benefits. Once the middle-class is gone, we will then be a two society state, and country. With only the rich and the po...

I`ve rode a motorcycle most of my adult life. You are both correct! If you want avoid a mishap on a motorcycle, there are three things to avoid. #1 - Ride without wearing a helmet and proper gear. #2 - Drink and ride #3- Ride at night Unfortunately , many big motorcycle rallies involve doing All Thr...

Isn't the owner in violation of any town codes or laws?!?!

Most cities will make homeowners do things like paint or even cut the grass or get rid of weeds!

I haven`t seen the old school house for a few years.
Has there been any change?
Is it still an eyesore and blight on the community?

What shame to see such a beautiful piece of real estate go to waste! :(

Re: Can Tomahawk be reborn again?

Tomahawk needs to get the tourists back on to Wisconsin Ave. It needs the visitors from the south to want to get off Hwy 51 at the 1st Tomahawk exit like they did in the 1960`s and 1970`s. :) Then take hwy S to hwy 86 into town. Let Wisconsin Ave be the first street that greets them. Like it ...

This has been brought up a few times in the last 10+ years, but............. I think Bradley Park would be a great place for an Observation Tower. Ok , So we don`t have to put boots on the ground, just support the countries that are putting boots on the ground. AND President Obama could be a Muslim.
