Re: missing posts?

I was gone all last week. I have no idea where posts would have gone unless they were removed by the user who posted them or another system error removed them.

Re: Re-enacting old battles; need commercial logging

And maybe Gods plan was for us to be able to use these great forests and slowly learn to use them wisely? Perhaps God in all his wisdom knew we would make mistakes and learn from them? Who are we to even guess what God (or any other supreme or divine being) may think, want or have planned? <small>[ ...

Re: Black Bear Mauls Two Men~

Aphephilia, What is the point of these posts? There is nothing wrong with posting some topics to see if someone is intrested. If you want to discuss your paintball or hoover issue start your own threads for those and see if anyone replies. If a topic doesn't interest you ignore it. Just seems kind o...

Re: Garbage on streets 4th of July

I haven't seen extra garbage cans available in years.

It could be because even when they put them there people just dropped things where ever they were and they had to pick up the street anyway.

It still would be nice to see something around.

You forgot that like all media we only do what Bush tells us to. You were too close to the truth so we had to bury it!

Re: heavy on moon

Maybe Helium or Hydrogen? On earth the pressure causes them to rise, on the moon with no atmosphere would they actually "weigh" something?

I'm saddened to hear that the mighty Zeus might live in a neighborhood without good beer. Might be time to find a new mountain!

Re: Driving

I have a new addition to my list of bad drivers. I actually saw a guy that was driving while holding his cell phone with his right hand and smoking with his left. How is this not an accident waiting to happen, especially when he had to flick the ash off out the window so he drove with no hands. The ...

Re: Kids on Main Street

JFlosum, I don't think there is anything wrong with sitting downtown and enjoying the company of friends. I think the issue was the young adults (teens in many cases) who are bringing their young children with them and their actions while there. I personally don't think young children should be expo...

Gee Tim,

Do you actually have any ideas or do you simply want to complain about the city?

Just wondering!

Re: Driving

The sad thing is the laws really need to be enforced before made any tougher. Lets just say I knew someone who got a OWI. This person was put on one year of probation. One term of the probation, no drinking. This person got caught the only time they checked him at random for the entire year. He spen...

Re: Driving

Baby, The same arguement is made for the drinking age (more stupid stuff happens at such and such age). Lets think about this. At 16 you are very inexperienced at driving. Raise the age to 17 or 18 and now you are very inexperienced at driing and you make the same stupid mistake (only now you are 17...

548 registered users and 11 have voted. Come on people, it isn't like it keeps track of your name and vote. It only lets each member vote once but I don't know of any way to look up how you voted (wouldn't be worth the time anyway). Lets get a few numbers up though. No one can really make an argueme...

Re: Driving

Agreed,

I do talk on my phone while driving sometimes (work related most of the time).

In bad weather I make it quick or ask to call back later though.

I know the law was proposed last year but I don't know if it passed. If it did it isn't enforced (that I have seen).

Driving

Why is it that about 5-15% of people are not smart enough to turn on their headlights when the weather is bad? There was freezing rain, fog and ice all day where I am. I had to drive 50 miles each way to get to the location they wanted me to work at today. I couldn't believe how many people didn't h...

Re: Free Speech not respected by War Proponents

Unfortunatly I fully believe everyone has the right to burn the flag. But, if you do burn the flag I think you are a moron. That "flag" gives you more protection than pretty much any other flag offers. You burn it or deface it you argue against the same rights you are using to protest. I a...

Re: Free Speech not respected by War Proponents

I think your subject is a little misleading!!! First lets get something out of the way. I understand the reasoning for this war and don't believe there was a better option, however, I am not necessarily pro-war. And on with the discussion: The man who attacked the protester was wrong! I may not agre...
