Re: Obamacare

@neup Also, why don't you address the issue we're talking about. Are you satisfied that the US is #38 in the world in life expectancy? I'm not. Our healthcare system is broke for many reasons, mainly because hospitals and insurance companies care more about making $ than anything else. In my opinion...

Re: Obamacare

Obviously when somebody needs a surgery that will provide them with years of healthy living, they should get that surgery. But a lot of what you said is incorrect. You know why? Because my wife is an anesthesiologist at a University Hospital. While in residency she worked at a VA hospital and a larg...

Re: Obamacare

Then why is the U.S. #38 in the world in life expectancy (from 2005-2010)? (According to the UN) Behind such countries as: Canada, France, Switzerland, the UK, the Scandinavian countries, CUBA (!), etc... (who all have national healthcare - and that's just a select few I grabbed from the list) I thi...

Is this a reference to Kerry?

It's too bad that when somebody thinks critically about the issues and reaches their own conclusions (which do not always align with one political ideology) they are insulted.

Re: Unions took a hit

Walker proposed "right to work" legislation in 1993 at a state legislator. Seems to me if you propose a bill you are probably a supporter of that bill's content. Also, when asked if he would veto any "right to work" legislation that ended up on his desk, he has refused to give a ...

Re: Unions took a hit

Here's a question for the union haters: Who are you going to blame for all your troubles when WI becomes a "right to work" state and it doesn't solve all your problems? Kind of feels like Nixon - "you won't have [the unions] to kick around anymore".... It's funny, the party that ...

Probably not nearly as much as the amount of taxpayer money Scotty has used to fly himself around the country to collect money from his billionaire donors who care nothing about the people of Wisconsin and just want to get sweet deals in return for their investment.

Good points being made here.

Who wants to meet me at County Market and follow around any public employees, military personnel, etc.. and make sure they're spending our money the way we want them to? Maybe we can get Scotty to bring his bat too.

Re: $cott Walker wants some REAL money

Hopefully Walker won't be looking in Wisconsin for jobs in the private sector. An article yesterday in the Milwaukee Journal does a good job discussing job creation (if you want to call it that) since Walker has taken office. Some great graphs/charts too that show how WI is doing versus the rest of ...

Re: Walkergate

Walker has created a legal defense fund... which I don't understand because he has repeatedly said he is not "John Doe".

Why would he set up a defense fund if he knows he is innocent? Because he's lying. Again.

You have to actually click on "False" or "True", etc. to see the stuff Walker said.

The fact is that for the last 6 months Wisconsin has lost jobs while the US as a whole has gained jobs. You cannot dispute that. When WI was losing jobs under Doyle, so was the rest of the country. Now WI is losing jobs and the rest of the country is gaining jobs. Trying to use the decrease in unemp...

I did find the quote, River Rat. My problem is how you presented it. You forgot to mention the fact that someone went through his office on the Thursday before the incident and removed a union sign. You also didn't mention that it is OK for them to wear union logos to work, according to the memo all...
