Re: Strip rights, then clothes

@RiverRat "Ummmm, errr........... I'm just trying to figure out the train of thought that equates a disgruntled employee deciding to strip his pants to a disingenuous, deceitful, actor lying to and recording a converstion with the govenor of the State of Wisconsin" Ummmm,errrr...... you ha...

Re: Strip rights, then clothes

So, River Rat, according to your logic... let's say the cops put out a fake child as prey to a child molester. If the child molester attempts to do some bad things to this "child", according to you that doesn't count because he was "tricked"... nice. Or, let's say I buy drugs fro...

Re: Strip rights, then clothes

Where is that quote from, River Rat? And I think this quote sums up the other side: FAKE KOCH: "Well, I'll tell ya what, Scott. Once you crush these bastards, I'll fly ya out to Cali and really show you a good time." WALKER: "Alright. That would be outstanding. Thanks for all the supp...

Re: Financial mess solution

Re: Decisions, decisions, decisions!

This reminds me one of the Republican debates: Ron Paul was asked if a man without insurance who was sick should be left to die. He didn't quite get a chance to answer, but the undoubtedly Christian audience cried "Let him DIE". I doubt that Jesus Christ would feel the same way. "Its'...

Re: 4th of July parade (again)

Sorry Catfish, that was a mistake. I meant Old Scout in previous post. I apologize. Also, I understand that most people do not use there real names on here, myself included. I just don't think it is right to use a fake name on here and call somebody out in the community that everybody knows and comp...

Well, looks like I lost the argument.

Next time I don't like how someone is doing their job I'll be sure to get on here and publicly berate them while hiding my identity.

Re: 4th of July parade (again)

Does anybody realize how busy kids are these days? Summer jobs, summer leagues for multiple sports, volunteering with clubs so they can write stuff on their college applications, doing stuff around the house to help their parents while they are at work, etc... And at a small school like THS, these a...

Re: 4th of July parade (again)

Old Scout - you seem to know a lot about this. Maybe you should go volunteer to take over the marching band and get everything running smoothly. The whole community would really appreciate it.

I'm sorry it didn't come from Fox News. Here is a cached copy direct from Simac's website (this has now been deleted - is she running from something?) http://webcache.googleusercontent.com/search?q=cache:zpd9G0I7E4sJ:www.patriotactionnetwork.com/forum/topics/the-scary-comparisons-of-the&cd=3&...

Open Forum on Recal Election

I don't care if you are a Democrat or Republican, but before you vote in the upcoming recall election I hope that you take the time to educate yourselves on who you would be voting for to be our representative in Madison. Kim Simac scares me and I do not believe she is fit to govern. She is also get...

Sounds good, Kerry. I was just kidding about the Christian singles website, just trying to make a point. I think we all understand that these ads do not reflect the viewpoints of the Tomahawk Leader.

Re: Where is everybody?

Kerry, correct me if I am wrong, but don't Google Ads display content based on what your browser history shows?

So, if you've been visiting WAVE's website a lot, this is one of the ads that will show up when you go to another site (i.e. Tomahawk Leader) which uses Google Ads....

Hoperin recall election

I'm interested to see what people think about this, especially since the person (Kim Simac) running against him is, in my view, very controversial and an extremist.

Re: Where is everybody?

River Rat - it's called freedom of speech.

Just because you don't like it doesn't mean someone can't buy advertising space and use it to say what they want.

This isn't the case, but I could just as easily say I do not want any pro-gun groups advertising on the Leader.

Re: Voter ID Law and Recall Elections

Voters will be required to show ID for the 2012 spring election, which includes the presidential primary. According to One Wisconsin Now upwards of 178,000 Wisconsin seniors do not currently have the appropriate ID that would allow them to vote under the new GOP law. In an analysis of potential vote...

Re: Voter ID Law and Recall Elections

You're right Kerry. I apologize for the old information. The law does allow the use of college IDs as long as they have a signature and expiration date. This exception was added due to security concerns brought up by UW if there were addresses on the college IDs. However, it will cost the state $7 m...

Exactly, Mimi61. It is a solution in search of a problem. The only things it will do for sure are cost a lot of money and lower voter turnout.

Re: Voter ID Law and Recall Elections

I was thinking that there probably are some elderly folks out there that don't drive anymore and do not have a valid driver's license. They would need to go get a new ID from the DMV to vote. The part of the law that actually makes me angry, however, is how the law will effect college voters. If you...

Voter ID Law and Recall Elections

Anybody know the answer to this: If a college student moves home for the summer and they are not there for 28 days before the recall elections, will they be able to vote? Also, if anyone out there plans to take their parents to vote and they don't have a driver's license, id card, etc... you'll need...
