Re: Bridger traps

Do not know unfortunately. He was told the dog was coming down the road dragging the trap. Either way, on private land or not, dogs cannot read signs, and just awful thing to have happen. I can just imagine what else has been caught, fox, deer, raccoon...Apparently the trap was not secure for the dog...

Re: Bridger traps

Just spoke to my brother, and he said a few weeks ago someones dog in Harrison was found dragging a bridger trap on it's broken hind leg down the road. Traps can hurt and kill anything. Breaks my heart someone calls this a sport, has a club that endorses it, and finds this acceptable for any animal ...

Bridger traps

Even though I grew up in the northwoods, does anyone else find it cruel to use Bridger traps to hunt and kill with? I found it sad to see a 14 year old girl so proud to be sitting next to this beautiful timber wolf who suffered a horrific death on the front page. I am all for hunting, fishing for me...

Re: Questions policy

Sue, I am with you on this. Constitutional or not, it is pretty desperate on the Tomahawk Leader they want to charge the folks who read this little paper $25.00 to express their opinions regarding a political candidate. Surely they can tell the difference between a full blown candidate ad, and one o...

Re: Charging $25 for a Letter to the Editor

It's a little late to comment on this, after the election and all, but it is sort of discrimination. So if someone was to write a letter to the editor talking about a certain Tomahawk business, this is okay? It is technically free advertisement to that business,or organization good or bad. I really ...

Re: Please take a moment to read this for your pets...

I am so sorry for your loss. I agree with everything you said, and simple things, we just take for granted. I volunteer at a no kill shelter, so when you are ready to replace your lost love, please consider adopting a new little one to love and give him or her a forever home. If you are breed specif...

Re: Need your brain

I haven't been there in many years, but always thought a Krispy Creme franchise would do wonderful up there! Especially when the hot, fresh donuts sign is on in the cold winters! Add some coffee in the corner, you would have it made! There are a lot of stores vacant downtown, and would be ideal! Jus...

This is about 2 years late, but it looks as though he may have been found, unfortunately deceased. I found this on a google search. God Bless, RIP.

Class of 1980

I grew up in Tomahawk, and still have family up there, but have not been there in a l-o-n-g time. I do keep track of the current events online through the Tomahawk Leader however. If there is anyone still in Tomahawk who remembers me, Renee Moldenhauer (the artistic, quiet one) lol, send me an email...
