mrbrowns seems awful quiet lately. I always knew he was hooked on fishing but isn't this taking it a little too far !

Reminds me of a song, "I fought the Pike (law) and the Pike (law) won" ! :)

Re: Packer "loss"

Welcome to the Republican Party. Typical whinny response from a liberal democrat, if someone is more successful than you. If I can't have it, take away from them. Since when is it wrong for someone to work hard and get a good job that pays well. I thought that is what capitalism was all about. Work...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

The people who are shopping downtown are buying from vendors from out of the area, not supporting local businesses. The only ones who see an influx of shoppers are the bars and perhaps the grocery stores. A lot of the local organizations that do a lot to support activities in Tomahawk depend on the...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

Reduced traffic in town, kids can sleep without hearing a train of motorcycles every two minutes, no loud music... I'm failing to see a downside here. Sounds like someone who wasn't invited to the party and can't stand the idea of someone else having a good time. For two nights a year, I don...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

From a local standpoint, closing it down that early didn't make any sense at all. Things are just getting started about that time and it sure didn't help anyone in town who had a business or any of the local groups that were trying to make a few buck with a food or beverage stand. You can bet that o...

What happened to the Packer Defense

Wow, the Packer Defense really looked bad today! It looked like any good High School team could have scored on them. Just like last year they couldn't stop the long pass and got burned on them time after time. I was hoping that they would have improved after being one of the worst defenses l...

Re: Quit trashing President Obama's accomplishments.

I haven't had a chance to verify the source on this but from a lot of the comments I have heard from the media and others this sounds like it would be worth seeing. CBS' Scott Paulsen on "2016" movie !!! The Right Politics This past week, “2016: The Movie” about President Barack Obama open...

Re: Quit trashing President Obama's accomplishments.

I have a feeling that xyz1wouldn't recognize or admit to the truth if it jumped up and bit him. Some of that list may not be entirely accurate but there are a lot of true facts included if he would just take his blinders off and think about it. I don't have the time or patience to sit here and expla...

Thank you Allan Bell

I will definitely miss reading Allan's columns. One of the first things I read when the Leader comes in the mail. I still think it would be great if his articles were published in a book and preserved for posterity. Not only are they entertaining, but they are also a good reference material about na...

If the place you are working is hiring workers such as you for those positions I would complain about corp. greed not the state gov. They had nothing to do with it. Just take a look at the local...

Makes perfect sense. Finally, a word to describe Obama, his administration and his voters. It should be included in the dictionary. Ineptocracy (in-ep-toc'-ra-cy) - a system of government where the least capable to lead are elected by the least capable of producing, and where the members of society ...

Re: Strip rights, then clothes

That`s a pessimistic way to look at it. I see it as an honest way to look at it ! How many more years of tax and spend with a deficit such as we had, could Wis. has tolerated before the entire state went broke? Some times it takes a kick in the back side (or a bomb) to wake people up and realize wh...

So what is the big deal, he is no different than every other politician. The only thing different here, is there are a few people that are trying to make a big deal out of it and with the help of the media are trying to make a issue out of what is normal operating procedure for politicians since the...

Re: Campground in Bradley Park?

Someone needs to talk to the local campground owners and see what percent of sites are filled on a regular basis. For example the campground out at the race track which I believe has 100 sites. With that many sites close by why does the city have to compete with them and try to take business away fr...
