Packers and Vikings

My feeling are that the Packers are going to have their hands full beating the Vikings on Sunday.

With the advantage of the Dome and crowd noise they always play better at home.

Re: Message Board Participation...or lack of...

Just a thought, perhaps if you included Larry's column in the opinion section each week it could stir up some discussion. It seems like he often has something to say that could get some comments. :)

Re: Message Board Participation...or lack of...

Wow, I can't believe it either. I was gone for a couple of days and haven't been on the board since Sun. Not even any discussion on the gun control issue. Every one must have gone into hibernation ! It is disappointing to check the board and there is nothing new. It does make you wonder if it is wor...

Re: What can we do?

This country is going to He!! in a hurry. I can't believe all the crazy things that have happened in the past couple of weeks. First at the school in CT. then in Pennsylvania, and now shooting the firefighters in NY. Is everybody going crazy at once ? ? ? Is it something in the water ? Perhaps the l...

Re: What can we do?

This is going to be a hot topic for a long time. Personally I hope they are able to look at all the reasons things like this happen. To some, the first thing that they want to do is blame the gun. Like anything else a gun is only a tool and can't do any damage by it's self. Like the old joke about c...

Re: SHhhhh We`re sleeping

The temp is cold today, cloudy and 67dF, so I got to bring out the long sleeve shirts. I was really feeling a lot of sympathy for you when we hit a high of 21 deg. today. 67 would be T-shirt weather. This is an unrelated topic but when did 'killing a deer' or 'shooting a deer' change into 'ha...

Re: SHhhhh We`re sleeping

How is everyone doing otherwise? Any predictions as to what our winter is going to bring? Will gas prices continue to drop? Any suggestions for winter reading once I have my Christmas knitting done? Will the Packers make it through to the play-offs? Who's cuter Aaron Rodgers or Brett Favre? Doing j...

Re: Packer "loss"

Welcome to the Republican Party. Typical whinny response from a liberal democrat, if someone is more successful than you. If I can't have it, take away from them. Since when is it wrong for someone to work hard and get a good job that pays well. I thought that is what capitalism was all about. Work...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

The people who are shopping downtown are buying from vendors from out of the area, not supporting local businesses. The only ones who see an influx of shoppers are the bars and perhaps the grocery stores. A lot of the local organizations that do a lot to support activities in Tomahawk depend on the...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

Reduced traffic in town, kids can sleep without hearing a train of motorcycles every two minutes, no loud music... I'm failing to see a downside here. Sounds like someone who wasn't invited to the party and can't stand the idea of someone else having a good time. For two nights a year, I don...

Re: If it’s not broke, don’t fix it!

From a local standpoint, closing it down that early didn't make any sense at all. Things are just getting started about that time and it sure didn't help anyone in town who had a business or any of the local groups that were trying to make a few buck with a food or beverage stand. You can bet that o...

What happened to the Packer Defense

Wow, the Packer Defense really looked bad today! It looked like any good High School team could have scored on them. Just like last year they couldn't stop the long pass and got burned on them time after time. I was hoping that they would have improved after being one of the worst defenses l...

I haven't had a chance to verify the source on this but from a lot of the comments I have heard from the media and others this sounds like it would be worth seeing. CBS' Scott Paulsen on "2016" movie !!! The Right Politics This past week, “2016: The Movie” about President Barack Obama open...

Re: Quit trashing President Obama's accomplishments.

I have a feeling that xyz1wouldn't recognize or admit to the truth if it jumped up and bit him. Some of that list may not be entirely accurate but there are a lot of true facts included if he would just take his blinders off and think about it. I don't have the time or patience to sit here and expla...
