Re: Northwoods Humor

A group of 15-year-old girlfriends discussed where they should meet for dinner. Finally, it was agreed they should meet at the Dairy Queen next to the Ocean View restaurant because they only had $6.00 between them and Jimmy Johnson, that cute boy in Social Studies, lives on that street and they migh...

Please excuse the four letter words in the following story. I would have deleted them, but it would lose its impact without them.... A young couple got married and went on their honeymoon. When they got back, the bride immediately called up her mother. "Well," said her mother, "so how...

It's still there and serves a great burger, it used to be RP's and has been the Happy Snapper for a few years now. They recently added on a dining room that overlooks the water. Try the southwest Burger.

The Dot FINALLY, SOMEONE HAS CLEARED THIS UP. For centuries, Hindu women have worn a dot on their foreheads. Most of us have naively thought this was connected with tradition or religion, but the Indian embassy in Ottawa has recently revealed the true story. When a Hindu woman gets married, she brin...

One day a man decided to retire... He booked himself on a Caribbean cruise and proceeded to have the time of his life, that is, until the ship sank. He soon found himself on an island with no other people, no supplies, nothing, only bananas and coconuts. After about four months, he is lying on the b...

Re: FALL RIDE

Just got home from working at one of the stands for the fall ride. Things got off to a great start and it seemed like everyone was having a great time. Heard a lot of good comments from some of the bikers about how much they look forward to coming up for the event. Many commented that this is the be...

An elderly man is stopped by the police around 1 am. and is asked where he is going at this time of night. The man replies, "I am going to a lecture about alcohol abuse and the effects it has on the human body." The officer then asks, "Really? Who is giving that lecture at this time o...

Re: 4th of July parade (again)

I take it that you think the only students that are busy are the ones in Tomahawk. Do you think the kids in the other schools do nothing but wait around for band practice. Please explain why other schools can put together a group that is so much better in the same amount of time. What ever happened ...

How about the one that is getting paid to do that just trying to do his job for a change ! :x After attending THS and living in Tomahawk all these many years, I have seen a lot of good bands , but they had a band director that actually knew what he was doing and did his job. This guy is not include.

Re: wausau Labor day parade

If the people in Wausau were anything like some of the people in Merrill they are the ones that are adding the fuel to the fire. There were some people in the parade and watching that really acted like total fools. I am impressed that the Mayor of Wausau had the guts to stand up and let the parade o...

Re: 4th of July parade (again)

Went to the Labor Day parade today in Merrill. Sure glad the Tomahawk band didn't come down and embarrass themselves and the community. They need to take lessons from the Merrill band. They were actually in uniforms, looked good, played great and even marched good. Do you think we could work out a t...

They want to purchase a log swing

What ever happened to a help your neighbor. It's sad when someone needs some information and we aren't allowed to help them out. Seems like that also happened to someone who was looking for help in finding a place to stay for the fall ride. Whether or not it would qualify as a want ad is questionabl...

wausau Labor day parade

Organizers of the Labor Day parade in Wausau say Republican lawmakers aren't welcome in this year's event. That strikes me as acting just a bit childish, nothing like P***ing them off and ending up with giving them another reason for more changes. Apparently they never heard of "keep your frien...

I guess that's your personal problem and I prefer not to get involved in personal problems. It's open let's enjoy it ! The bridge may have been passable, but had it passed a final inspection? We have to face the facts, the band stinks because the band director doesn't care and doesn't like doing parades. The only way they will improve is to fire the bum ! :x

From the way you describe it, the only thing I can think of would be at the corner of Hwy U (old 91) and Hwy. 8. Lon Lamer lives on Lamer Rd. near there. I know there is some kind of business there but not sure what. Next time I go past I will have to see what business is in the building now. There w...

The bridge is usable once it has been inspected and meets the Inspection standards. No contractor has the right to say open for business. Come on. And do you think they are going to inspect it and open it until the contractor has finished the job. Until the contractor lets them know they are comple...
