Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

Actually I like the idea of banning everything that might bother anyone else. I am sure I can find a few of your habits that are annoying. Or as all of you who are so fond of the bible would say "let he who is without sin cast the first stone" :p

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

Just remember the next time you go out and have a couple of drinks, are talking on your cell phone or eating in your car and have an accident, by your logic you could be charge with murder if some-one should happen to be killed. So lets ban everything people do that could hurt some-one else. The oth...

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

I don't drink, Perhaps we should ban all drinking in public establishments so I don't have to put up with all those obnoxious drunks. It is really irritating when you are out for dinner and some fool who has one too many is acting like a total idiot. Why should we have to put up with a small minorit...

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

Kerry, I don't know what kind of utopian world you think you live in but you need to look at the cold hard facts of life. Have you never heard the word "SMOG" ? Have you never driven down a dusty road, have you never used chemicals to do some work around the house,(paint thinner, cleaning ...

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

I'm still laughing at your Holier than thou atitude. :D

Just out of curiosity, do people that don't smoke also never go anywhere that there might be exhaust fumes in the air, work where there might be chemical fumes in the air, or any kind of dust. Hmmm. :p

Re: Proposed work place smoking ban in Rhinelander

I really have to laugh at the posters on this board. The same ones that are saying how terrible it is to ban gay marriage to protect the minorities think it is fine to ban smoking and discriminate against that minority. A bit of a double standard ?

I hope the leader is going to run another extra on the Iditarod after Ron and Chad return so we can see and hear about the race from their prospective.

Re: Hunter Chaney

Sound to me like the media and the demacrats are making a mountain out of a mole hill and turning it into a circus just to try to get some political points. Accidents happen, and from what I hear it was handled properly by notifing the local athorities and and EMS. I really fail to see why he would ...

What was the point of that ridiculus long post ? ? ? That is the kind I glance at and go to something else. Another thought, all of the religious radicals on both sides of the pond need to watch the Wizard of Oz and learn the song "if I only had a Brain". [ February 13, 2006,...

Is there a way to access past pages of the web site front page or if not would it be possible to make them available. There are times when it would be nice to be able to refer back to some information that was on in the past. [ January 17, 2006, 02:22 PM: Message edited by: Old Scout ]

What I get the biggest kick out of is the people making the most fuss have nothing to do with being native american. Check with the Florida State Seminole's, guess which tribe helped them with their costumes that they wear during the games. Yup your right, The Seminol tribe. I have talked to many na...

Perhaps I should go to all the Viking home games and protest. Calling that bunch of Bozo's Vikings is an insult to my Norwegian ancesters. If that doesn't work I can always get some shyster lawyer and sue. :D

Re: Sending my son off to war

My biggest fear is that the anti-war protesters will do the same thing to our troops that they did during Viet-Nam. The more they protested the more encouraged the VC and the North became. They continued fighting long after they would have given up because they knew that our gov. would give in to th...

Re: Support for our Troops

We need to start a campaign to get all our local business to start giving discounts to our military and show them that they really care. Signs in windows are great but when that is as far as it goes it wears thin in a hurry. They need to show them that they are appreciated for what they have done. G...

Support for our Troops

With all the talk about supporting our troops, there is one place in Tomahawk that is doing more than talk. The Barber shop in the hotel gives a Military discount to all current and retired military. All you need to do is show a military ID. As far as I know that is the only place in the area that i...
