Re: Dem Packers

At a time like that the coach has to show some guts and go for the gusto. sitting on the ball, playing conservative won't win games. When Favre is allowed to cut loose he still has one of the best arms in football but they keep playing around with the short pass and the run instead of throwing it do...

Re: Dem Packers

I couldn't believe that with 3rd and 4 near the viking 20 that Sherman called a run when the pass was working so well. The Packers have one of the best passing quarterbacks in the league and they don't let him throw the dang ball. :(

Re: The angriest I have ever been.

Let's add exhaust fumes from vehicals, anything that comes out of the stacks at factories, chemical fumes and all the stuff that comes out of home heating vents. What we need is a big sign in the sky that says,

" Caution living on the planet earth is hazzardous to your health"

Re: Some things never change

At least Kevin received the recognition he deserves.

Just a shame we had to go through all this to do it.

Re: Some things never change

Just for the record, Jessica Mincoff contacted me today and we sat down and had a very interesting discussion about Scouting, the Leader and Kevin. Perhaps at times I let my dedication to Scouting and the those who participate cause me to feel that they are being slighted when they do not get the re...

Some things never change

Some things never change. Last year it took the Tomahawk leader 5 weeks to finally print an article about three Scouts who had had achieved the rank of Eagle Scout. Now it is 5 weeks since I sent a story and picture about Scoutmaster Kevin Haring stepping down as Scoutmaster after ten years in the p...

Re: What happened at Fall Ride 2005

After spending most of Fri. and all of Sat. at SARA park, my guess is that it was smaller. Fri. there were very few at the park compared to past years. Sat. was busy but I have seen bigger crowds there. I also noticed that there seemed to be fewer venders. Could be that with the extra fee many moved...

Now instead of spelling police, we have grammer police. Actually it was so bad it would probably be a 15 or better. Michael Moore has zero credibility.

Re: Hurricane Katrina

Jeff, I couldn't have said it better. If they rebuild they are just asking for it to happen again, and again we will end up footing the bill and taking care of the victims. Bulldoze it and bury it !

Re: Hurricane Katrina

Most people don't seem to realize how large an area is effected. They think that the people on the bridge waiting for help are the only ones. The damage extends for many miles in all directions. There are hundreds of thousands in the same situation and only so many Helicopers available. From what I ...

Fireworks were great !!! Still wish the THS band would learn to march and play music at the same time! All the other bands made them look really bad!! Might it be time for a new band director ???

Birds

Has anyone noticed that there are not any Swallows around. I have two houses up and not one bird has been around this year. I also have not noticed any around the bridges where they usually build nests. wonder if they just aren't here yet or if there is some other reason for not seeing them.

Brian, You get a good barber in here and I will be standing in line right behind you. The Ladies do a good job but call me old fashion, I still prefer a regular barber shop. :)

Re: Hospital?

Did you have a point, other than putting down opinions that don't agree with yours ?? I agree, it is your land and you can do what you like, but when it interferes with someone else’s rights that is when you step over the line. There is a great difference between liking or not liking the color of th...

Are you saying that those of us with a genuine concern that have tried to do something are not allowed to express our opinions in a public forum ? I seem to see you whining and complaining a lot, so obviously you do not have any genuine concerns, you just like whining. :D

Re: Hospital?

It's easy to make cheap shots over other peoples concerns, but how would you feel if you had a nice house and yard and some jerk started a dump site across the road from you. Just sit back and watch you property values go down and imagin what will happen if you wanted to sell and no-one wanted to bu...

Re: Hospital?

If you think the school looks bad, drive a little further down Hwy. O and check out some of the other junk yards that have developed in the area. I really feel sorry for the people that live in the area and have to see that mess every time they look out their front window. I can't believe the town o...

Perhaps if he quit buying all those old cars, boats and other misc. junk there would not be a problem. Apparently money isn't a problem seeing as he is constantly bringing in more vehicals and other strange stuff. Personally I think he is just a pack rat that thinks all that junk is valuable and the...

And here all this time I just thought the old Fulsher School was just being used as a junk yard, and it turns out to be somebody's junky front yard. Hard to believe the neighbors and the county but up with that mess. :(
