Re: School Lunch

Perhaps if the parent worried more about the childs behavior and less about what they have for lunch there wouldn't be a problem. When they expect the teachers to raise their kids they have to live with the rules and the way they are enforced. Maybe the child will think twice next time.

Baby, I don't know what fortune cookie you got your information from, but voting along party lines is only in the primary not the general election.

I can't take credit for writing that one. Just ran across it and thought you folks would get a kick out of it. I have no clue where it originated. :D

Re: John Kerry & John Edwards enjoy attacking family and

To be a good Democrat... 1. You have to believe that the AIDS virus is spread by a lack of federal funding. 2. You have to believe that the same teacher who can't teach 4th graders how to read is somehow qualified to teach those same kids about sex. 3. You have to believe that guns in the hands of l...

Re: Lincoln County Humane Society

I have to agree with tinman, if cats were licensed there would be more than enough money brought in to support the shelter. After all they take in cats as well as dogs. I always felt it was unfair to dog owners that we are the only ones that need to license our pets. Perhaps it cats had to have a li...

Re: Good "Eats" In Tomahawk?

If you are looking for breakfast the choices you have are Village Square, Mr. Bill's, or the Family Resturant. Both places downtown are closed. Mr. Bill's started serving breakfast this spring and from what I hear is pretty good.

Actually Tinman, I think this is rather entertaining. Everytime I open the message board I get a good laugh. I really doubt that any of this is going to have much influence on the vote, but apparently it makes them feel much better. :D

Re: Da New Street

Only one comment, for a new street it sure has a lot of pot holes (AKA man hole covers) that are far below the level of the pavement. The one in front of the feed store is a tire killer. Other than that it sure is a great improvement. Question, does anyone know if they are going to put a stop or yie...

Re: Streetlights Question

If you go through Rhinlander, there are some streets that have this type of lights. The difference is they use the sodium bulbs which give a more yellow light, simular to Tomahawk's old ones. They not only give more and better light, but do not blind people driving on the street. Apparently the peop...

Re: Graduate Felons?

I find it interesting that there is so much interest in these four students just because they made on stupid decision. I guess it must be the sensationalism factor. It is kind of funny in a way what people take an interest in and what is of enough interest for it to make it into the news. Back on th...

Re: Downtown

I have a problem with blaming the kids for all the problems in the down town area. Most of them are just looking for somewhere to meet and hang out with their friends and face it, where else do they have to go. When I was in High School, (in the 60's) we had the Hole, the resturant above the Bowling...

You are right, you don't have to declare a party, but you can only vote in one party. If you vote in both parties your ballot will be thrown out as invalid.

Re: Congratulations Wisconsin!

Some years back, Wis. had an open primary where you could vote for either party or on both parties. It was changed to where any one can vote, but you must vote as a republican or demacrate not on both. This is only on the primary, in the general election you can vote for the person not the party.
