Re: Flag theft.

this morning WJJQ reported that the 17yr old that was picked up, is the step son of Dean. If that is true I am sure Dean is sickened to hear it. I hope things get worked out.

Re: Flag theft.

WOW!! I cannot believe that this happened again. Well Medic, I put to much trust in people - I did not think anyone could be so low as to continue this! This is not a "funny" joke, it is down right disrespectful & degrades our community.

Medic, I have not heard this at all. I really hope it is not true. From what has been said, the area is being well patrolled & watched. I don't think it is going to happen again.

Re: Shop in Tomahawk ???????

that is true - bird seed (just an example) is at more places than just the feed store - you can even get it at the grocery stores to "hold" you over. It boils down to accepting that we are a small town & what we have here is what is normally offered in a small town. Yes, maybe some wee...

Re: Shop in Tomahawk ???????

I have to agree with you Scout....if you don't shop on your lunch hour, you are out of luck to "shop in Tomahawk" for allot of things. If Tomahawk wants to keep their people in Tomahawk, they need to realize that wekend hours are a must!!

why is your sister still putting up with him? There is nothing tying her there - so leave. There is a time you need to be responsible for yourself too. Yes, there are probably other issues too, but she needs to just leave.

I must say I agree ---- this is to much that it happens to the very tree that has been talked about? Actually why is even an issue..very dumb. If the city didn't want it done, they should have said that instead of making the tree somehow vanish.....

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

look at it however you want to look at it - however you can justify it to yourself. Bottom line is, smoking in ANY public place is just wrong! If you choose to see it as a money issue, that is up to you. Maybe that is a factor, but choosing to make it the ONLY issue is plain idiotic. That is illogic...

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

Support smoking ban The Wisconsin Restaurant Association board of directors has voted 36-1 to support a statewide workplace smoking ban that does not exempt bars or bar areas in restaurants. The association has always defended a business owner's right to make his/her own decisions, it was noted. How...

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

you are still missing the big point (by choice it seems) this smoking issue comes down to rights of EVERYONE. Face it (and be real about it) Public smoking is just plain wrong! If you want to harp on the tax issue, I guess there is no better place to put it then on the stupidity of cigs.

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

believe it or not, not everything is about taxes. I think we need to have a wider grasp on things other than to blame everything on a tax issue. Let's be more realistic than that. This issue IS about health & being courteous to your fellow man. Let's be human for awhile!!!

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

this issue has everything to do with rights - of ALL people. This just happens to be the "issue" right now - smoking. It still comes down to trying to protect the public & not just certain people. All people should have the right to choose what they want to do - I don't think having to...

Re: Blowing Smoke Not an Option

WOW! aphephilia-where did you get that reply from, pretty idiotic. This is definitely about rights of EVERYONE not smokers over non-smokers. No one should be forced to be in any enviroment that is harmful. yah,yah - don't go in a place that allows smoking - people would like to enjoy a meal out with...

exactly right. The Bears had such a soft schedule all year & that is why they are even at the top of the division. I wonder, how could they have such an easy schedule when they were division champs - I don't get it. I thought that is how they get a tougher schedule draw?

Re: Death of a Legend!

first of all..........good for the Bears. They can represent our division. It's too bad that they will NEVER be able to beat the Colts. Too bad for them that they can't luck out with an easy Super Bowl opponent like they did with most of their opponents thru out the season!!! ;)

let's get real here. Smoking should not be allowed in a public building regardless. What does it matter where you are from in regards to sharing your opinion? Actually, if I am not mistaken, Hopsekers have lived in this area for sometime. (Summer and/or winter residents) Bottom line is, smoking in a...

I too think it should be banned altogether. I thought there was some kind of law or ordinance or something too. I seem to remember it is allowed on the farm for farm workers - don't really know though. It was just unfair to ban it for one class/event & not all. I hope they ban it for everything....
