And do you have a particular point, or just providing a reference service?

They have been self-destructing for some time. Their idea of presenting an argument is to drive around in a circle and honk their horns. I would have gone to the one on the 400 Block in Wausau on Thursday to observe but the WSAU gas bag said it have been posponed or changed to Saturday with only the real one (his) running in the evening. Apparently the other faction of the TP did have a small presence of a few dozen people (the Dan Mielke contingent).

Looks like they were just spinning their wheels in Madison:

Interesting to see prominent Democrats 'retiring' rather then face the public ire in a general election. Could be conicidence, but I don't think that Mr. Obey, who has been a Washington icon for years, would willingly step aside at the high point of his career... Just sayin' 8)

Medic,
Were you in Great Britain lately? I received an e-mail that you had been robbed & needed $$ to get home.

If not, please check your e-mail security. I received this e-mail on both of my e-mail accounts.

Jeff

grrrrr.... I was on vacation, however, not in England. I most certainly didn't get mugged and don't need emergency money. Some hacker got into my email account and sent out a blanket message to everyone in my address book... please disregard. If anyone did send money, contact me immediately so that the information can be forwarded to the authorities.

Thanks for the heads up.

Obey has done an excellent job as even those who did not always agree with him will tell you. Even though Democrats hold a numerical advantage at the both the U.S. and Wisconsin level, the bulk of those leaving are Republicans.

From:
http://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/92690704.html

Those who have already announced they aren't coming back for another term are:

Rep. Wood;

Rep. Steve Hilgenberg (D-Dodgeville);

Rep. Kitty Rhoades (R-Hudson);

Rep. Mark Gundrum (R-New Berlin);

Sen. Ted Kanavas (R-Brookfield);

Sen. Alan Lasee (R-De Pere);

Sen. Judy Robson (D-Beloit);

Rep. Chuck Benedict (D-Beloit)

Rep. Brett Davis (R-Oregon), who is running for lieutenant governor;

Rep. Don Friske (R-Merill);

Rep. Thomas Lothian (R-Williams Bay);

Rep. Roger Roth (R-Appleton), who is running against U.S. Rep. Steve Kagen, an Appleton Democrat;

Rep. Gary Sherman (D-Port Wing), who is taking an appointment on an appeals court;

Rep. John Townsend (R-Fond du Lac);

Rep. Leah Vukmir (R-Wauwatosa), who is running against Sen. Jim Sullivan (D-Wauwatosa);

Rep. Rich Zipperer (R-City of Pewaukee), who is running for Kanavas's Senate seat.

Don't worry Nancy's twitching little lap dog will be there long enough to give 20 million illegal aliens a piece of that beloved health care program. Obey voted the party line, filled his own pockets, took congressional junkets, landed his kid a job and extended a few airport runways in our district at taxpayer expense. "Excellent job," that's nuts. He did set a good example of why we should have term limits.

Interesting how people will regurgitate fabrications that have been debunked again and again.

The Tea Party effect continues to push for more extreme ideologues as candidates:

They may be in some peoples opinion a bit radical, but what they want is to take our country back from those who would undermine the very foundation of our democracy.

Infamous Quote from Nikita Khrushchev
"We can't expect the American People to jump from Capitalism to Communism,
but we can assist their elected leaders in giving them small doses of Socialism,
until they awaken one day to find that they have Communism."

Guess what, we are well on the way and it is our elected leaders that are
giving it to us in small doses and taking away our freedoms a little
at a time ! ! !

He was right when he said that "Your children will grow up under Communism" !

And we are letting it happen !

And one of the things that made Stalin and company so successful was the susceptibilty of the weak-minded to conspiratorial paranoia and self-induced fear. Maybe if the Tea Party has enough purification purges like Stalin, they too will get their utopia although I suspect it will look more like Orwell's 1984.

So who will the xenophobes vote for for WI governor? Even Walker is against it.

Republican Walker speaks out against Arizona law
Posted: May 14, 2010 1:30 PM CDT

(AP) -- A conservative Republican running for governor in Wisconsin is taking a tough public stance against Arizona's sweeping new immigration law.

Milwaukee County Executive Scott Walker says in a statement that he has serious concerns about the Arizona law empowering police to question and arrest anyone they suspect is in the U.S. illegally.

His stance was the most definitive of any of the three major gubernatorial candidates, all of whom were asked by The Associated Press about the issue this week.

Republican challenger Mark Neumann declined to comment on the law.

Democrat Tom Barrett's spokesman Phil Walzak says Barrett is concerned about the rights of citizens and legal immigrants being violated.

All three say there needs to be a national solution.

We used to enforce a rule that if you were going to post a news item like some of these you had to actually voice your opinion on it. Too many more posts like this and we'll start again.

Please start a discussion about the issue in the reference you post. Don't just post someone else's content for everyone to read...

I would say the word xenophobe makes clear her opinion.

On the article, Walker has now reversed himself on this issue. Supposedly he will clarify his flipfloping this evening in Wausau, unless he changes his mind on that too.

His entourage showed up but no Walker, unless he came really late. Not a good impression.
