Postby JKR » Fri Feb 14, 2003 3:57 pm

Anybody else get flowers today? I did, mine where delivered by County Market this Am. I feel so lucky to have a loving husband,I count my blessings. All I thought I'd get was a card and that would have been enough! :D :D :D

Yes, mine were delivered by House of Flowers. I, too, was surprised. Happily!

No flowers this year, although I did get a bouquet of 3 roses during a dinner while on a recent trip to Mexico. Flowers are sure cheap south of the border, 20 pesos, an equivalent of $2.00. Most likely I won't see flowers for a couple of years. However, I was surprised with a TV for my workout area. We've had this discussion at work recently. Romance and flowers and such. Most of us agreed that the most romantic things that the men our lives have done for us don't involve flowers or candy or material gifts. We would all be lying though, if we said that those types of things didn't matter. But, more importantly the little simple acts of kindness are what matter the most. Anyone care to share some of those special "things"?

Life is too short for drama & petty things!

Every time my husband checks the air pressure in my tires, changes oil, thanks me for a great meal, holds the door for me, holds my hand, etc., he says he cares. This year (first time in more then 15 years) he remembered to say happy valentines day. That in itself made me feel special for the whole day. I always try to remember "It is the little things that count!!! Once a person starts to appriecate what they do have instead of wanting everything they do not have, live is great!
Spay or nueter your pets!!!!!!!
