Quit trashing President Obama's accomplishments. He has done more than any other President before him. He has an impressive list of accomplishments: None of them good ! !

Nice list of lies (not surprising consider your nominees for pres/vp). At least you made it long enough that I don't have the energy to go through and refute them, I'll give you credit for that foresight.

And not only is this list full of lies, contains no references, and is incredibly misleading on several points, but #32 displays just how racist and ignorant the far right of the Republican party is today.

XYZ1...that's certainly is a LONG list. Maybe it's easier of you told me which ones are true so I can research them further and see if they may also be lies. Are they all lies...isn't there anything remotely correct in the list? I would guess you've done the research and found which ones are the lies, did you find any on the list that are true so I could follow up on checking them out? Could you also point me to where you did your research and the references that shows the 'lies' as lies?

Thanking you in advance for your help with this....

p.s. I have an interesting idea....why don't we re-elect Obama for another 4 years and see if he can do any better than the last 4. The job of the prez certainly isn't an easy one but I expect good results and solutions to the problems we have. ALL Obama seems to have done is not keep any of his promises...instead still blames Bush and everything and everyone else for his failure.

When are 'we the sheeple' going to DEMAND that our presidents find a way to work around their obstacles instead of using them for excuses. Obama promised...Obama failed...the country is going further into the toilet, China owns the mortgage, we're still in the same old wars, we're the laughing stock of the world, unemployment is STILL high....and all we hear are freaking excuses from Obama about and why he can't get anything done....blame, blame, blame, and more promises !!! If that's what you want for another 4 him back in!!!

He simply isn't an effective chief executive and didn't and can't get the job done...he doesn't know how to find solutions or work through his obstacles. In the private sector the shareholders would boot him out !!! I give him a D+ mostly because he didn't take many sick days !!!

I have a feeling that xyz1wouldn't recognize or admit to the truth if it jumped up and bit him. Some of that list may not be entirely accurate but there are a lot of true facts included if he would just take his blinders off and think about it.

I don't have the time or patience to sit here and explain all of them and he probably wouldn't understand anyway.

A better solution for the United States and all of its citizens would be if Dems/Repubs would work together to solve some problems. But that is the last thing Republicans want while Obama is in office. Since Obama took office the Republicans #1 priority has been to say "No" to everything so that they can get him out of office. "Look, he isn't doing anything", they say. Well maybe if they would actually attempt to work together instead of just saying "No" at every turn more would get done. Why do they say "No" at every turn? Because they are scared to follow someone who represents more than the status quo of a middle aged white guy in the oval office. Obama isn't one of "them" so they obstruct everything he tries to do instead of keeping the best interests of all Americans in mind.

But guess what? This country isn't going to be ruled by white middle aged men very much longer, so they better get accept the facts instead of going into denial. Watching the the RNC was like watching an old senile man unable to comprehend reality.

XYZ1 wrote: A better solution for the United States and all of its citizens would be if Dems/Repubs would work together to solve some problems.

I agree wholeheartedly with your above quote but then you ruin everything by blaming Obama's failure to be an effective president on the other side. It's ALWAYS blame the other side...even the Repubs do it too so I'm not putting everything on the Dems.

My point is that an effective president should find a way to find a solution, bridge the gap, cross the it what you want...but FIND A WAY TO DO IT....and not always blame the other side.

If we don't DEMAND good results from our government, especially our President, then we'll get the same results we've been getting.

You remember the definition of 'insanity' don't you !?!?

p.s. ""their country" is being run by a black Muslim socialist " ...what are you smoking for cripes sake...that's a real groin kick even for people who don't share political views !!!??? Not kosher at all in any political bashing !!!

Ken, unfortunately A LOT of people feel that way. It was just discussed on the New York Times today. Here's an excerpt:

"The last four years have been an extended exercise in Republican denialism: This cannot be. This isn’t happening. If you’re really the president, show us your papers.

Imaginary Barack was invented in Hawaii, sneaked into the Oval Office, and has no legitimate claim on the presidency. As for the real tall black guy posing in Washington, go ahead and treat him any way you want. You can jab your finger in his face, shout him down, call him a Muslim, a Kenyan, an illegal alien, you can invent all kinds of lies about him and then you can tell him – get out of that chair." ... pty-chair/

And this is why it is impossible for Obama to get anything done. The Repubs won't work with him regardless of how good a deal they get.

I saw a great interview with Jeb Bush during coverage of the RNC. I found him to be a very intelligent person, a person the Republican party should listen to more often, and a person they would love to have as their presidential candidate instead of Romney. He said that he is open to the idea of raising revenues to cut the national debt. Now, if he was president and said "let's raise revenues in exchange for some tax cuts" would the House republicans go against him? Absolutely not. They would shower him with praise and call him the "Great Negotiator" or something. But if Obama does the same thing (which he has), they will not budge because of the reasons mentioned in the NY Times article above. I blame them for putting their petty self interests and fears ahead of what is good for this country.

I haven't had a chance to verify the source on this but from a lot of the comments I have heard from the media and others this sounds like it would be worth seeing.

CBS' Scott Paulsen on "2016" movie !!!

The Right Politics

This past week, “2016: The Movie” about President Barack Obama opened in the Chicago area, and I chose to get more of an education about Obama by seeing the movie. After the inundation of canned hype for the movie on conservative talk shows across the Chicago radio dial that sounded more like commercials than honest endorsements of the movie, I was skeptical of what I was going to see.

While some talk show hosts sounded like they were genuinely impressed with the documentary and honestly endorsing the film, there were those who were obviously reading a commercial script which was not coming across as sincere to the regular listener – at least not to this often-skeptical listener. Perhaps, in future promotions of the film, it would be wise to have pre-recorded commercials done by the professional commercial-makers rather than having the likes of Mark Levin and Sean Hannity doing script after script to promote the movie. After all, the listeners aren’t stupid and resent any attempt at being conned. After many reads by the talk show hosts, the readings of the commercial script were no more enthusiastic than another Life-Lock commercial read – another commercial that ought to be professionally done.

Yet, I’m glad I saw the hyped-film because it was more informative than I had thought it would be and included less propaganda than I had predicted. If anything, it was nearly too informative as there was a enormous amount of information condensed into the nearly one-hour-and-a-half documentary. Fact after fact is put forth which shows that President Obama definitely has many skeletons in the closet that have not been released prior to the nation’s trust in him with the Oval Office.

To watch this movie and realize – or simply be reminded of – all that is unknown about President Obama is of concern. Much of the information has been ignored by the American media totally. When appropriately reminded as to what is still unknown about Obama to date, one has to ask: How can any logical-thinking person give a **** about Romney’s taxes while not asking any questions regarding our current president’s past?

The man influences the entire globe, but liberal Americans want to know how much Mitt Romney paid in taxes in the past rather than learn about the man who they have entrusted with the country. Unbelievable.

The movie undeniably links Obama to persons of suspicious-interest due to their past actions and statements, such as former radical activist and Chicago educator Bill Ayers. While the media and blinded-liberals cast such facts aside, the movie does not. No, this portion of the movie is not propaganda – it is the display of factual information about relationships between people that cannot be denied. Yet, the “left” does deny the facts that are right in front of them.

Quite disturbing is the talk of the United States economy in the film. The current national debt which has increased two-fold during Obama’s presidency and the horrendous economy is suggested to be part of the plan to strip the nation of democracy – reasonable cause to make citizens totally dependent on the government. The “left” is aghast at this suggestion of the current economy. They actually believe that Obama is unintelligent enough to let this economy just happen. Ironically, it’s many of the people on the “right” who know Obama’s not stupid, and much of what has happened to the United States in the past four years is part of Obama’s plan.

How could one so-highly educated and intelligent as Obama not know what he was doing when he incurred such debt? I left the movie thinking more strongly than I had in the past that the current debt and this economy was part of Obama’s plan all along. Increasingly making Americans dependent on the government is the plan. What’s more, he knew his blind followers would believe it was not the plan and, of course, was all Bush’s fault.

He must be laughing at his blind followers all the way to the “new America” they’re allowing him to create. My belief is that Obama continues to prey on his die-hard followers’ stupidity to accomplish his personal goals for America.

The most disturbing part of the film to me was the interview with President Obama’s half-brother George Obama from Nairobi, Kenya. How can Obama claim to want to help people when he has done absolutely nothing for his own family? It makes me wonder if he really cares about anybody if he can’t find it in his heart to help his own family.

As the closing credits started to role upward across the screen, the audience applauded. Me, I just walked out – reasonably upset.

Those who have already decided to vote for Obama will probably not even see the movie. It’s sad but they probably don’t want to know the truth when it is laid out so clearly for them in this documentary. The independents who are still deciding who they are going to vote for ought to see this film. I’m quite confident that any undecided voter who sees this film will know who to vote for after viewing this documentary. If you know you’re not going to support the “left” in this coming election, see the film out of interest if you like. But, fair warning, it’s disturbing – and quite frightening – to say the least.

2. First President to have a social security number from a state where he has never lived.

It would be awfully hard to attend kindergarden in Hawaii if you never lived there... ... y_theories

3. First President to preside over a cut to the credit-rating of the United States.

Which was caused by Republican's stating they were willing to allow the government to default rather than agree to a compromise.

4. First President to violate the War Powers Act.

Presidents routinely take military action without consulting congress first. Also, every president since it was passed has argued the law is unconstitutional anyway. ... olating-it

5. First President to be held in contempt of court for illegally obstructing oil drilling in the Gulf of Mexico.

Multiple administrations have been held in contempt over the years. This isn't anything new.

6. First President to require all Americans to purchase a product from a third party.

Which was a compromise since you didn't want him to require the government provide a similar product.

7. First President to spend a trillion dollars on 'shovel-ready' jobs when there was no such thing as 'shovel-ready' jobs.

A substantial number of the projects were already planned to occur within the next year or two. They simply were accelerated. In many cases the planning stages were already completed and it was simply waiting for the bidding process to begin. I'd call that pretty 'shovel-ready'. Yes, many weren't as shovel-ready as they expected, but here is a new twist, we have a president that was actually willing to admit that and suggest he would like to have done things differently if there had been more time.

8. First President to abrogate bankruptcy law to turn over control of companies to his union supporters.

What company was turned over to union supporters? I can only imagine this has to do with the auto industry. You do realize the unions were forced to take major concessions and lost huge amounts of their pension. Some stock was turned over to them but it was only to ensure that some level of pension coverage still existed.

9. First President to by-pass Congress and implement the Dream Act through executive fiat.

Dream act provides a path to citizenship. Obama simply has issued an order that won't deport them if they meet very strict requirements. They also may apply for a work permit (although no guarantee that they will receive one). ... d-students

10. First President to order a secret amnesty program that stopped the deportation of illegal immigrants across the U.S. , including those with criminal convictions.

Can't find anything on this one so I have no idea what you are talking about. Everything I found has anyone with a felony, etc. sent back where ever they came from (or put in prison). Also, Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than Bush did.

11. First President to demand a company hand-over $20 billion to one of his political appointees.

Once again, hard to refute when I can't even figure out what you are talking about (and I'm pretty good with Google).

12. First President to tell a CEO of a major corporation (Chrysler) to resign.

Important to note that the CEO of Chrysler was out of a job either way. The only reason the company still existed was the government saved them. Since the CEO ran the business into the ground, I'd say they didn't really deserve to stick around anyway.

13. First President to terminate America 's ability to put a man in space.

The House (controlled by Republicans) sets the budget, not the President. The plan to retire the Shuttle Program also was in place during the Bush Administration. If you want to blame us for not having a replacement for the Shuttle we needed to start developing a new vehicle long before Obama got into office (they don't just whip those things out in a year or two). Heck, our latest fighter jet has been in development for longer than Obama has been in office.

14. First President to cancel the National Day of Prayer and to say that America is no longer a Christian nation. ... rayer-2012

15. First President to have a law signed by an auto-pen without being present.

Actually true, however, it was to extend the Patriot Act for 4 more years, a Bush era law.

16. First President to arbitrarily declare an existing law (without consulting the Supreme Court) unconstitutional and refuse to enforce it.

A reference would help, which law are we talking about??? Also, a number of Presidents have chosen to ignore and even not follow laws they don't believe are constitutional. See your War Power's claim.

17. First President to threaten insurance companies if they publicly spoke-out on the reasons for their rate increases.

False, his administration threatened them if the lied and blamed rate increases on the Affordable Care Act. ... -insurers/

18. First President to tell a major manufacturing company in which state it is allowed to locate a factory.

19. First President to file lawsuits against the states he swore an oath to protect (AZ, WI, OH, IN).

20. First President to withdraw an existing coal permit that had been properly issued years ago.

21. First President to actively try to bankrupt an American industry (coal).

22. First President to fire an inspector general of Ameri-Corps for catching one of his friends in a corruption case.

23. First President to appoint 45 czars to replace elected officials in his office.

24. First President to surround himself with radical left wing anarchists.

25. First President to golf 73 separate times in his first two and a half years in office, 102 to date.

26. First President to hide his medical, educational and travel records.

27. First President to win a Nobel Peace Prize for doing NOTHING to earn it.

28. First President to go on multiple global apology tours and concurrent insult our friends tours.

29. First President to go on 17 lavish vacations, including date nights and Wednesday evening White House parties for his friends paid for by the taxpayer.

30. First President to have 22 personal servants (taxpayer funded) for his wife.

31. First President to keep a dog trainer on retainer for $102,000 a year at taxpayer expense.

32. First President to repeat the Holy Quran & tell us the early morning call of the Azan (Islamic call to worship) is the most beautiful sound on earth.

33. First President to tell the military men and women that they should pay for their own private insurance because they volunteered to go to war and knew the consequences. Then he was the first President to tell the members of the military that THEY were UNPATRIOTIC for balking at the last suggestion.

34. First President to side with a foreign nation over one of the American 50 states ( Mexico vs.Arizona ).

How is this hope and change working out for you? THERE'S AN ELECTION COMING UP ... I HOPE YOU REMEMBER THIS LIST WHEN YOU VOTE

I got bored after 17... I know for a fact that a number of the later ones were false too (I've had to respond all to email's sent by others with links to Snopes).

Obama's First Term

Obama’s First Term
During the 2008 Presidential Campaign, Barack Obama received significant support from prominent Republicans, including former governors, members of congress and other high-ranking officials. On November 4, 2008, Obama was elected the 44th President of the United States, capturing 53% of the popular vote, including 9% of Republicans and 20% of self-described Conservatives.

President Obama’s cabinet has included both Republicans and conservatives, including Defense Secretary Robert Gates, Treasury Secretary Timothy Geithner, Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood, Army Secretary John McHugh, and Jon Huntsman, the former Governor of Utah, who was chosen to be the U.S.’s Ambassador to China.

Domestic Policy
Tax Cuts

In February, 2009, Obama signed the American Recovery and Investment Act, which included $288 billion in tax cuts, arguably the largest tax cuts in American history. These cuts included a payroll tax credit of $400 per worker and $800 per married couple in 2009 and 2010, and an extension of revisions in the Alternative Minimum Tax, which saved middle-class Americans $70 billion. Additionally, the legislation included over $30 billion in tax cuts for American businesses.

In December, 2010, President Obama signed a $858 tax cut bill into law, after almost equal numbers of Democrats and Republicans voted in support of the legislation. The package extended tax cuts signed by President Bush, cut payroll taxes by 2% for a year, and extended unemployment benefits for 13 months. Of the tax cuts, Obama stated, “I know there are different aspects of this plan to which members of Congress, on both sides of the aisle, object. That's the nature of compromise. But we worked hard to negotiate an agreement that's a win for middle-class families and a win for our economy."

Bipartisan Budget Commission

In February, 2010, President Obama signed an executive order creating the National Commission on Fiscal Responsibility and Reform. The Commission’s purpose was to identify "…policies to improve the fiscal situation in the medium term and to achieve fiscal sustainability over the long run.” The Commission included both Republicans and Democrats, including former Republican Senator Alan Simpson, current Republican Senators Judd Gregg, Tom Coburn and Mike Crapo, and current Republican members of the house, including the Chair of the House Budget Committee, Paul Ryan.

After meeting for several months, the Commission released its final recommendations in December 2010.

Health Care Reform

Throughout the health care reform debates of 2009 and 2010, President Obama refused to commit to either a single-payer health care system, favored by liberal Democrats, or a government-sponsored public option-- the favored choice among other Democrats. Instead, the President focused on enacting legislation that would cover the vast majority of Americans and lower health care costs, even if it was not the first choice of liberal activists.

On March 23, 2010, President Obama signed the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act into law. According to the Congressional Budget Office, the law will cut the federal deficit by $138 billion over 10 years.

The Affordable Care Act has been compared to the health care law Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney enacted four years earlier when he served as the Governor of Massachusetts. Romney’s law created exchanges designed to increase competition in the purchase of health insurance and included a requirement that every individual purchase health insurance.

Early in Obama's first term, Mitt Romney urged the President to enact healthcare legislation similar to that which he signed into law in Massachusetts.

The Affordable Care Act has been compared to health care legislation co-sponsored by 19 Republican Senators in 1993, including current Republican Senators Chuck Grassley, Orrin Hatch and Richard Lugar. Mitt Romney supported this legislation.

The 1993 Republican bill called for government subsidies to low-income individuals and families to help them purchase their own health coverage, and included a requirement for individuals to purchase health insurance. Both of these provisions are supported by 2012 Republican Presidential Candidate Newt Gingrich.

Said former Republican Senator from Minnesota David Durenberger soon after the Affordable Care Act passed, “the legislation which President Obama signed is the best we can do as a nation… right now. It is historic. The commitment to universal access to health care through universal insurance coverage is the law of the land.”

In the words of Norman Ornstein, of the conservative think tank The American Enterprise Institute (AEI):

“The Democrats' health-reform plan includes no public option and relies on managed competition through exchanges set up much like those for federal employees. The individual mandate in the plan sprang from a Heritage Foundation idea that was endorsed years ago by a range of conservatives and provided the backbone of the Massachusetts plan that was crafted and, until recently, heartily defended by Mitt Romney. It would be fair to describe the new act as Romneycare crossed with the managed-competition bill proposed in 1994 by Republican Sens. John Chafee, David Durenberger, Charles Grassley and Bob Dole -- in other words, as a moderate Republican plan.”

Included the in the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 are provisions which:

Eliminate lifetime limits on insurance coverage
Prevent health insurance companies from denying coverage because of a pre-existing condition
Allow young adults to remain on parents' insurance until age 26.
Provide subsidies for individuals and families and are not covered by an employer to purchase their own insurance.
Creates healthcare exchanges for uninsured people to purchase coverage at competitive rates.
Gives people on Medicare new access to free preventive services such as screenings for cancer and diabetes.
Closes the "doughnut hole" gap in Medicare Part-D by 2020.
Slows spending increases for Medicare beneficiaries to 2% per year, from the current rate of 4% a year.
Sources: CNN, CSM, NYT,

In June, the Supreme Court upheld the constitutionality of the Affordable Care Act.

Other Domestic Policy Achievements

In January, 2010, President Obama accepted an invitation to speak at the GOP House Issues Conference in Baltimore, answering questions from the GOP leadership and offering to work across the aisle to help solve the nation’s most pressing problems.

In February, 2010, President Obama signed the “Pay-Go” rule into law, restoring a requirement that the federal government spend only what it can afford. That June, the President directed federal agencies to develop plans for disposing of unneeded real estate and eliminate unnecessary or non-economical lands and properties.

President Obama has called for the repeal of the capital gains tax for small businesses, has proposed a three-year freeze on federal discretionary spending beginning in 2011 and is in the process of cutting 120 federal programs identified as either wasteful or unnecessary.

In his 2011 State of the Union Address, President Obama called for investments in the nation’s infrastructure, a call that was applauded by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.

During the first three years of the Obama Presidency, the number of government employees dropped 2.6%-- a record reduction, and a larger decrease than that overseen by President Reagan during his first three years in office.

In January of this year, President Barack Obama proposed consolidating six trade and commerce agencies within the federal government, a measure that would further reduce the number of federal employees and cut costs.

Under President Obama, the private sector has added jobs every month since April, 2010.

Despite repeated claims by his Republican opponents, growth in federal spending under President Obama is slower than that under Reagan, Bush I, Clinton and Bush II. In fiscal 2013 — the final budget of Obama’s term — spending is scheduled to fall 1.3%, to $3.58 trillion.

Foreign Affairs
Iraq, Afghanistan and North Africa

President Obama has ended the American military presence in Iraq, as he pledged during the 2008 campaign.

In a December 2009 address, President Obama committed 30,000 more U.S. troops to help fight the growing insurgency in Afghanistan. The surge was accompanied by a change in strategy, including a sixfold increase in the number of Special Operations raids, which has disrupted the operations of the Taliban and Taliban-linked groups.

In March 2011 testimony to the Senate Armed Services Committee, General David Petraeus, Commander, U.S. Forces Afghanistan, announced that much of the Taliban’s momentum since 2005 had been halted and reversed in a number of important areas.

Since the surge, Afghans have slowly assumed more responsibility for their own security. By early 2011, Afghan National Security Forces had grown to more than 270,000-- a 42% expansion-- and the Afghan National Army had grown to more than 152,000-- a 57% increase.

On May 1, 2011, President Obama ordered a military strike inside of Pakistan targeting Osama bin Laden. Later that evening, the President announced that the al-Qaida leader was killed during the operation.

Other Foreign Policy Achievements

During his first term, President Obama signed the New Start nuclear arms treaty with Russia, an extension of President Reagan’s START treaty of the 1980’s. The Obama agreement commits the U.S. and Russia to reduce their number of strategic nuclear warheads, long-range missiles and bombers over the next seven years.

However, on a first read I haven't seen any facts stated in this one that I haven't already had to prove were false to others so that's at least a minor step in the right direction.

If you must know those facts came from The REPUBLICANS FOR OBAMA SITE.

Did you think anyone could come up with facts and figures of the past four years of history without doing any research?

So, if the copy and paste is skewed towards your way of thinking, then it`s fine.

TOOT , what`s your problem?
If you must know those facts came from The REPUBLICANS FOR OBAMA SITE.

First off coming from that type of site are they in fact facts or just propaganda? Do you know what a fact is or because you read it somewhere or saw it on MSNBC it became a fact in your mind.

While some of the other left leaning people occasionally use quotes from other web sites, to wit Kerry, xyz1, Nimble and others, but they do arrive at and express their own opinions. Because of their liberal agenda, especially when it comes to property tax issues, I usually disagree with them, but I do respect them for voicing their own opinions. It is very obvious that all you do is cut and paste from various left wing web sites and/or blogs and post that stuff as yours. Here's the point, if you don't have the intelligence to write your own stuff at least have the common decency to put quotes around the material and name the author or web site.

And yes, I have crossed swords with Old Scout in the past or haven't you been reading?

It doesn`t really matter anymore. tooten

Instead of attacking me, you could have done what Kerry did to Old Scout`s post , and show that it was nothing but lies.

My post did include some quotes and sources, but like I said it really wouldn`t matter. If you felt that strongly about "references" and "quotes" , there`s no way you could have let the lies Old Scout posted without saying something.

Nothing is going to change your way of thinking. Nothing Obama , or probably any Democrat, would be correct.

When he was elected a lot of stuff was dumped in his lap. Banks were shutting down, the housing market was crashing, the stock market had people almost jumping off ledges, America`s auto companies were about to disappear taking tens of thousands of jobs with it. The decades old problem of health care was getting worse. We were looking over our shoulder for Bin Laden to do another 9/11.

Can you deny were better off now in some of those area`s?

Go ahead, vote for Mitt. I`m sure he has the answers to our problems, and will help the poor and middle class.

Kerry is the cop on this board and if he chooses to allow you to post that mindless crap so be it, but I'll continue to point it out. Old Scout grabs something off an email that he thinks is cute/funny or whatever but never implies that he is the author of said post and Kerry jumps on it if he disagrees.

I jumped on Old Scout's post because there were a number of things in it that I knew were factually incorrect. And to be fair, Old Scout's post, which it appears he may have deleted or I'm just not seeing it, didn't say it was from an email or website, etc. For all anyone knew, he compiled as much of that list as Ken did. You are more than welcome to do the same thing to Ken's post that I did. Go through each item, one by one, find a source, and point out he is wrong.

I haven't taken the time to refute Ken's claims for two reasons. First, I didn't see anything in it that I already knew was wrong. If you know something is incorrect, by all means, call him on it. Second, I'm not sitting in a car for 16 hours like I was when I started the response and research on Old Scout's post.

You are correct, we prefer people post an opinion, and everyone should post a link to their source or reference where the material is coming from. However, since I didn't tell Old Scout he needed to post his opinion and allowed that post to stay up, I don't see any reason to treat the next one any differently. What I did do, was point out that there were significant factual errors in Old Scout's post. For both posters, I've stated that references should be provided. Personally, I despise when obviously bad information is recirculated. It never stops once it's started and in some cases, things that I've seen people send on have been flat out dangerous (one about entering your pin backwards to notify 911 you are being mugged could have gotten someone killed).

As long as we allow posts from both sides, and discussion for and against those topics, the board remains neutral. This isn't news printed in the newspaper, it's an editorial section. And believe it or not, I am allowed to have an opinion as well (just like Larry). We rarely delete posts and in the cases we have, it's been because we are trying to ensure the board stays "family friendly". Other than that, and clear violations of laws, rules or common decency, these boards have been pretty open. Just because YOU disagree with ME, doesn't mean you have the right to imply we are limiting posts or opinions.

I didn't say or imply that you are limiting any posts, even if YOU disagree with ME. By the way I read some of that same email that I think that Scout posted from and did the usual thing I do with most political emails....deleted it. I write my own opinions just as you do. I also don't dig around the Internet looking for some dribble that I might agree with and post it as something that I authored.

It really is unfortunate that some people only find time to hate the president...

Scott Paulson, the author(?)... Propagandist previously quoted at some length: He writes for a right wing rag called [b]"The right politics". Implying that he's non-partisan because he also works for CBS…

Like most REPUBLICAN OPERATIVES, masquerading as INDEPENDENT REPORTERS, this guy really has a problem with basic ARITHMETIC! [A “two-fold increase during Obama’s Presidency would be 24 TRILLION!]

Obama started his term January 20, 2009, with a 11.7 TRILLION debt; it is now 16 TRILLION.

“Quite disturbing is the talk of the United States economy in the film. The current national debt which has increased two-fold during Obama’s presidency and the horrendous economy is suggested to be part of the plan to strip the nation of democracy – reasonable cause to make citizens totally dependent on the government.”

At the end of the day, this is just another poorly sourced, non-factual… opinion piece, thrown out to people and presented as FACT!

I guess, that is all the party of "NO" has left...

Instead of trashing Mr. Obama's accomplishments, why not participate in his projects such as Obamacare? The Affordable Care Act places consumers back in charge of their health care. Under the law, a new "Patient's Bill of Rights" gives the American people the stability and flexibility they need to make informed choices about their health. Indeed, this will provide better health security. The law has its disadvantages but the advantages outweighs it. Lets not focus on the negative side but rather lets see the benefits of things.

obamacar has nothing to do with health care. It is about health insurance. Everyone always had access to health care whether you had insurance or not. No medical facility would turn anyone away who needed medical treatment. There are still people who can not get into obamacare who make very little money such as students who only work part time and make less than $11,000. per year, but if they need medical attention they will not be denied and will have to pay the bill out of their own pocket.

As for his accomplishments, he has done little good for the country and has caused a lot of problems.
Racial tensions are worse.
The border is not secured.
He is trying to get amnesty for all the illegals who have broken our laws to be here.
He let four americans, including a diplomat be killed without trying to send help and then lied about it.
The IRS is out of control.
DOJ has turned into a renegade operation.

Would you like me to go on?

The sooner he is gone the better! ! ! ! !
