Lincoln Hills

Postby Old Scout » Mon Dec 05, 2016 10:12 pm

I seem to remember that there was a juvenile corrections center in the southern part of the state. Unless my memory fails me I believe it was at a place called Wales or some such thing. It was closed to save money and because both places were only half full and the state closed the one and sent everyone to Lincoln Hills.

Now they want to build a new one and waste some more tax money, all so they can have their little darlings closer to home and their buddies that helped them get in trouble in the first place. Makes no sense what so ever ! !
The National Institutes of Health has just released the results of a $200 million research study completed under a grant to Johns Hopkins.
The new study has found that women who carry a little extra weight live longer than the men who mention it.

Scott Walker shut down Ethan Allen (also known as Wales) and transferred everything to an already crowded Lincoln Hills.

He made some numbers look good on paper.

Now they want to reopen "Wales" or Ethan Allen.

You can only "kick the can" down the street for so long to make the numbers look good on paper.

Same thing is happening to the Transportation Budget.

Work on roads and bridges needs to be done, you can hold off and make the the numbers on paper look good for only so long.
Kick the can down down the street, and maybe drop the ball into someone else`s lap.

Now there`s talk of closing Lincoln Hills and reopening Ethan Allen!
'

'Waukesha County Executive Paul Farrow, who previously served as a Republican state lawmaker, noted that reopening the school would be costly.

"Ethan Allen is an older building," Farrow said. "Because it's been dormant for five years now, it's going to need some work, so we'd incur some costs."

Peter Wolff, the supervisor on the Waukesha County Board whose district used to host the school, said he was concerned where the school would get the resources to operate.

Walker administration officials in 2014 included the Ethan Allen School site in the Town of Delafield on a list of 10 possible properties to sell and it has not been sold.

And all the problems that they are investigating will still be happening no matter where they are and all they will do is change the location and spend more money.

"And all the problems that they are investigating will still be happening no matter where they are and all they will do is change the location and spend more money."

I don`t think so.

Mistakes were made at Lincoln Hills. Big Mistakes!

By part of both staff and inmates.

I hope that somethings were learned by both. AND , won`t be repeated . If we don`t learn from our mistakes, all is lost.

Unfortunately , we don`t have the funds at hand to give out the punishment needed , to make the impact that is needed!

We are slapping rist`s , for crimes that many decades ago would have acquired spending hard time for the lesson to be learned.

After talking to a couple of people that work there, due to regulations the inmates are able to get away with most anything and the employees are not allowed to discipline them unless it is really serious. When the security people are attacked and have to defend, protect themselves then they get in trouble. Under the current set of rules in effect it won't make much difference where they are, they will still be causing trouble. It is just the nature of the beast.

Well the aclu is sticking it's nose into things again. I can't believe that anyone would believe much of what these little darlings would say about the people who work at Lincoln Hills. They were not there because they were nice little boys and girls and when they caused problems and had to be restrained or separated from the rest of the little brats all of a sudden they are the ones being abused. What about all the times that they assaulted the employees and the employees were not allowed to do anything about it because the inmates had more rights than they did. As far as the parents that are raising a fuss about what is supposedly happening to their kids, if they had been better parents the kids wouldn't have been there in the first place.

No wonder they are having trouble finding people to work there. Anybody in there right mind would stay as far away as possible from this mess. Too bad the employees can't just walk out some day and let the aclu run the place for a while and find out what it really is like.
