So 8 people are planning on voting or should I have had an undecided?

I'm thinking that everyone else is as tired of hearing about it as I am. This has been going on for a year and we have until Nov. to go yet. I can't believe that the networks can't find any other news to report and have to keep pounding away on the same old BS. I need a break ! ! !

Arkansas had 8 years. I want to see McCain vs. Obama.

I want to see campaigns with real outlines of both candidate's plans and how they would execute those plans, not just their "beliefs".

I want a ban on Political Action Committee ads. If the candidate's campaign office or political party didn't buy the ad, then it doesn't get run.

I want all primaries to be held on the same day. That way it's more likely that I can vote for a candidate with the best ideas, not the best financial backing if my state votes after Super Tuesday.

Maybe I'm an oddball, but all of this just fascinates me. It's also fun to watch my son who turns 18 in June become very interested in the politics of our country.

Right now I'm learning towards Obama, but I'm not sure he can win. The Clinton machine is awfully big and powerful. I do think he represents change, which is what this country needs.

I'm also, for the very first time, truly intrigued by a Republican candidate. I think McCain is both honest and fearless.
I hope he gets the nomination so I can continue to learn more about him.

Mary,
My son is going to vote in his first presidential election too. It's fun to hear his decision making process.

I too, am struggling to really get behind any of this batch of candidates. In past elections I have felt much more motivated to get involved with the process, even having done volunteer work on candidates campaigns. This time around I just can't invest my time in candidates that I really do not strongly support. I do like a good deal of the concepts that Ron Paul claims he would base his policy on, but he, 1. has no chance, and 2 has great ideas but no real concrete plans or strategy to implement these plans or an appreciation of possible ramifications of these plans. Plus he does come across as a nut job. One guy that has a very good chance, but in my opinion falls in the same category of not having a concrete message, is Mr. Obama. Can anyone answer me what exactly this man plans on changing? (Other than Iraq exit strategy, he's clear there.) I hear beautifully articulated speeches that are impassioned, but I don't get the feeling he's really saying anything. The next several months should be very interesting.

I like that. Is it original from you? I'd like to send it to friends but want to know origin.

It's like which of the candidates is the lesser of the evils.

Sorry Nell, I'm not sure where it originated. A friend sent it to me in an e-mail but there was no credit for who came up with it. I just felt like I had to share it with those on the message board.
