The Da Vinci Code, By Dan Brown

I guess that’s what happens when you are to cheap to pay for hardback books like I am.

I am about 2/3 of the way through The Da Vinci Code and was quit shocked that there wasn’t much of an uproar about some of the traditional Christian thinking that was challenged in this work of fiction that spent over thirty weeks on the Best Sellers list.

Then I started doing a bit of research and found out there was enough of an issue made of it that there was a prime time network special on it.

For those that, like me, are behind in their reading, you might find the concept that Jesus was Married With Children fascinating. And you may want to check out the Last Supper by Da Vinci, that person slitting on his right (your left as you look at it) sure looks like a gal to me!!

According to news reports, the woman that died while viewing The Passion had an underlying heart condition. So whether she was sitting watching that movie or eating a sundae at Dairy Queen she would have probably still have died of a heart attack.

"because women "don't have a large enough role in it",
WHAT??? you mean the Mother of God isn't a big enough "role" to play?
All sorts of women play a HUGE role throughout the entire Bible!

Jesus performed His first miracle (at least the first one mentioned in the Bible) at the request of a woman.

Right you are, aphephilia! I guess some people don't look at mothering in the same light. Being the mother of God , none the less! Amazing!

In the book "Davinci Code" Jesus did leave a blood line thru Mary Magdaline who had his child a daughter named Sarah who was born in France where Mary Mag fled as Jesus was being crucified.
The book is catagorized as fiction but has a lot of thought provoking elements if you haven't read it.

Tie to Tomahawk: Born and raised in Tomahawk, living in Colorado
Has anyone ever thought about how accurate the Bible really is? I wonder how much was lost, or changed, during the many translations it has gone through.
