A Letter in the Dec. 2, 2008 Tomahawk Leader:

To the Editor,

On Nov. 20 I and other community members were fortunate enough to spend some time in the Tomahawk Schools. I do believe it was very fortunate as we were “guest educators” for an hour or more in various areas of the school for Educator Week.

I was sure that our School District was in good hands before I went. I came home with that perception being totally affirmed! The staff and leaders in our schools do a fantastic job in the education and care of our young people! It was a great experience to be a part of TES, TMS and THS for a day.

I have daily contact with our school here at St. Mary’s. I want to be sure and affirm that there is excellent staff and leadership here as well.

We are blessed in this area to have the choices in education we have. We are even more blessed to have the dedicated people we do working with our young. Thank you to all those who help use as a community prepare our children!

A letter in the Dec. 2 Tomahawk Leader:

To the Leader:

Last week I had the privilege of being “Educator For a Day” at Tomahawk Elementary School. I learned two things that day. #1 – Our kids are awesome. They were enthusiastic, inquisitive, respectful and eager to learn. #2 – Our teachers are equally awesome. They were patient, kind and eager to teach. Tomahawk is truly blessed to have such a wonderful combination. Hopefully, I will receive an invitation to participate again next year.
