A letter in the Aug. 10, 2010, Tomahawk Leader:
I as well as other older citizens, whose eyesight is not as great as it used to be, would greatly appreciate it if the monthly minutes of the City Council and the School Board meetings were in regular sized print rather than the fine print you currently use. It is very difficult to read. We are truly interested in how our taxes are spent and the other business that affects us all.
This recent controversy about the ATVs using city streets concerns me as a safety issue. Surely the city could allow use of certain streets in the entire grid that could enable them to shop, etc. and also connect with the ATV trails. I truly hope no one is harmed by the use of ATVs in the city. It would indeed be a tragedy that could have been prevented with more thought and planning. Also, enforcement would strain our already overworked police force.
I am all for recreation but think the majority should be considered and definitely the safety issue is first and foremost.
