A Letter to the Editor in the Feb. 7 Tomahawk Leader
To The Editor:
On behalf of the Lincoln County Humane Society, I would like to thank the people of Tomahawk for their generosity after the recent crisis. The response was heartwarming.
To everyone who dropped off donations at the body shop – thank you!
Some who deserve special thanks are the Tomahawk Women’s Civic Club, TOPS Club, Lenny from NAPA in Merrill who goes out of his way every week, Jo-Ski Theiler, who gives of her time and energy every week, all the businesses who have agreed to sponsor a “Pet of the Week,” you’ll be happy to know that it really works!
Unfortunately, the humane society was not empty when this crisis occurred, nor will it be empty when this crisis is over. The need for donations will continue as long as people do not spay or neuter their pets. Animals do no understand “safe sex” or abstinence.
R&J Body Shop will continue to act as a drop-off point for dog and cat food, cleaning supplies, etc. (We have enough bedding, thank you.)
I thought when I moved here 15 years ago, that Tomahawk was a great place to live and you just proved it to me all over again.
Thank you so much,
R&J Body Shop
