A letter in the May 15 Tomahawk Leader
I would like to thank the City Council for their consideration and foresight in allowing a provision in the Junk Car Ordinance that will let the serious car restorer utilize a parts car in their process. A special thank you to Rejeana (Ebert) for the concern and effort she invested in the process.
The parts car is to the restorer what paints are to the artist, sheet music to the musician, and so forth. There are no parts stores that supply a large number of the parts for 30’s, 40’s and 50’s automobiles that are needed to give you the results that are seen on our Main Street Memories weekend. As car shows have proved to be very popular and well received throughout the state and across the country, I believe that being collector-car friendly will only enhance our Memorial Day show and our standing with the dedicated individuals that invest their time and money in creating these show pieces.
A little bit over-the-hill car buff,
Victor H. Cottrell
