A Nice to be Nice item published in the Dec. 19 Tomahawk Leader:
Last week at a grocery store my 85-year-old mother was shopping. A couple approached her and handed her a Christmas card and told her Merry Christmas.
My mother said, “Thank you, but I don’t know you,”
They said, “I know you don’t.”
My mother left the store and got in her car and opened the card and it had a $20 bill in it with no name.
Now this is the true meaning of Christmas and I want to thank this couple for their kindness and generosity.
