A letter in the May 22 Tomahawk Leader
Letter To The Tomahawk Leader:
After reading the Wausau Daily Herald Sunday, May 13, the headline “Lifesaving Sirens Scarce in Rural Towns.” The only city in Marathon and Lincoln counties that does not have a siren is Tomahawk with a population of about 3,800. The cost means nothing if it saves one life. I suggest that the mayor and the City Council take a good look, what could happen in our fine city, without sirens. “Again, I say if it saves one life it is paid for.”
