A Letter in the March 14 Tomahawk Leader
Tomahawk would look stunning draped in green and gold for the Muscular Dystrophy Association’s Shamrocks Against Dystrophy campaign to help fight neuromuscular diseases.
From now through St. Patrick’s Day convenience store, supermarket and restaurant customers in Tomahawk are joining millions of patrons across the country in buying and signing $1 and $5 Shamrock mobiles to support MDA’s programs of worldwide research and health care services.
Thanks to the efforts of volunteers, participating businesses and sponsors, Shamrocks Against Dystrophy raised just over $12 million nationally in 2005. That includes money raised in Tomahawk to support MDA programs, including clinics in Green Bay and Marshfield, summer camp for children with neuromuscular diseases at the Pilgrim Center in Green Lake and lifesaving research.

Come on out and help us paint the town green and gold for a good cause.
