A letter in the May 15 Tomahawk Leader:
Letter to the Editor:
I had a great opportunity at Treehaven this week to teach outdoor skills to fourth graders from Tomahawk. The kids had a wonderful time while learning about nature. They were all well behaved and very happy to learn in a great outdoor classroom.
This day of learning about nature was the last of three educational events at Treehaven, all sponsored by PCA. I think it is a very generous gesture that PCA sponsors three day-long adventures for Tomahawk’s young people. I want to thank PCA for this gift to our youth.
The kids enjoyed all the staff at Treehaven, John Heusinkveld, assistant director of Treehaven, who organized the day, Bart Kotarba and Jamie Healy from Northwoods Wildlife Center, Maggie Moesch, Bev Engstrom and Ashley Kleich. A special thanks to all of you for making this such a memorable day, and to the entire staff at Treehaven who work so hard behind the scenes to make it all happen.
