A letter in the March 25 Tomahawk Leader:
To The Leader:
Well, it’s been two years and the WOWOF (Women on the Wings of Faith) group is still going strong. The faith-based group meets once a month and has anywhere between 30 to 50 women who attend regularly. We meet every fourth Wednesday of the month, alternating between St. Mary’s Corpus Christi Center and Grace Lutheran Church.
This month, on Wednesday, March 26, we will be celebrating our two-year anniversary with another concert. This will be held at Grace Lutheran Church starting at 6:30 p.m. and it is open to everyone in the community – women, men and children. The music will be a little bit rock-n-roll and a little bit gospel with shades of everything sprinkled in. The band performing will be “House of Grace” and consists of Carey Beth Foster, Mark and Michele Schlegel, Denise Oelig, Tom Powers and Chuck Devereaux. They will have their own new CD “Run to the Light” available and all proceeds from the sale go to charity. All are welcome to attend the concert, men, women and children.
The WOWOF group provides inspirational stories, books, DVDs and music along with the wonderful friendships they have made so they can stay spiritually charged on a regular basis. All women are welcome and it’s a great way to meet other women who will help raise them up, and will walk with them through their day-to-day journeys.
We hope you will come and help us celebrate with a night of spiritual uplifting music.
