Repaving County Highway CC

Here we go again. "Lincoln County's request for $1.3 million in federal stimulus money to repave 6.3 miles of Highway CC near Tomahawk was rejected by the state Department of Transportation, said Randy Scholz, the county's highway commissioner. Scholz said there was concern with the Highway CC plan over an "archaeological hit," though the state did not expand on what that might be. It could be an American Indian burial ground, an old homestead or something else of historic significance that construction would affect, Scholz said."

An "archaeological hit" on repaving a road. I doubt that, for anything of archaeological value would have already been paved over years ago. More than likely it was a "political hit" by Dufus Doyle and his cronies. They want that stimulus money kept in Madison and Milwaukee so they can dump it down the same black hole that they did with their six billion dollar deficit. They are presently scheming to double the taxes on every type of license and permit that the state issues. That permit stuff is small potatoes and is being used as a distraction for their real intentions. Just watch what they do to our property taxes in years to come. I think we need a revision of the "State of Superior" idea from a few years ago. We should dump Dufus Doyle, his cronies and the whole Southern half of the state.

Well, I can just about guaruntee, (and Kerry can probably back this up), that we have far better roads up here than the streets in Madison. University Ave and Highland come to mind.

This isn't to say that CC doesn't need to be repaved, but if they aren't fixing their own roads, where is the money going?

I just drove up from Madison and there is now road work on 90/94 in a stretch that from my memory seemed fine, yet I-39 by the Mosinee exit for 158 is still in need of repair. :?

Would that mean that we would adopt the Yoopers?
