We've been asked to post this by someone who's been particularly hurt by gossip:
"The tongue is mightier than the sword."
This should be a sermon given regularly and the community should practice daily.
For those in this town who like to talk about others: they know who they are, how would they like to be talked about themselves? The little bluebird sitting outside every window is capable of spreading those hurtful words around town too...Gossip hurts reputations, feelings, families and lives.
Have we forgotten..."Judge not, lest ye be judged", "Do unto others as you'd have done to you"?
It is not our place as human being to judge others. We are not on this earth to judge others are we? GOD is our only judge...Remember..."The judgement you pass is how you will be judged"?
I love this town but we need to live as one community. We are all neighbors, " a brother lives far off".
GOD forgives but He does not forget.
"Don't let the sun go down on your anger" Anger leads to judgement...judgement leads to gossip...gossip leads to hurtful, hurtful words.
Most of these statements are passages from the Bible. If this town believes in anything believe in the word of GOD>>>
