Anyone remember Fritz and Kays? Is it still there?
My sisters and I rode our unicycles in the fourth of July parade when we were young and they sponsored us!

Raddant, can you say more about Fritz and Kays and what years you are talking about?

It was a little out of town and on a corner had dog houses in the yard. Probably late 60's. I believe the Lamiers lived near there. I see they have cabi9ns for rent. My dad knew Lon Laimer.

From the way you describe it, the only thing I can think of would be at the corner of Hwy U (old 91) and Hwy. 8. Lon Lamer lives on Lamer Rd. near there. I know there is some kind of business there but not sure what. Next time I go past I will have to see what business is in the building now. There was a used car place there for a while. Lamers own Pine Cone Ranch Resort. As I recall one of the Lamers also owned a mink ranch right near there.

I remember the Mink ranch. I see the Pine Tree Club is still around.

I worked on the Lamer mink ranch for a few days in the winter of '62 or '63 cleaning out mink pens with my friend Richard Klimek, who worked there quite a bit in those years, while we were in high school. Cold, smelly, and dirty work but it gave us extra spending money...and we were young and tough then so no big deal.
Was Fritz and Kays that small diner at the corner of (old) 51 and 8?
