DEER HUNT TRAGEDY

Postby KEN » Wed Nov 24, 2004 7:14 am

Ant thoughts on the killing of the deer hunters in Northwestern Wisconsin?
This guy must have been a timebomb waiting to go off! I find it hard to believe that someone could go into the woods a deer hunter,a sportsman, and come out a cold blooded killer!

None of the stories make sense right now. The reports I've read (Milwaukee JS, Appleton Post Crescent, Chicago Tribune, Spooner Online, CNN) all have had different scenarios. JS Online even reports that there are similarities to an unsolved shooting during the 2001 deer season ~ 80 miles from this scene. However, I'm going to wait until the trial to hear what the stories become before I really form an opinion.

No doubt that Vang should not have shot unarmed people running away from him. He should spend a long time in jail. But if he was truly shot at as he claims, I could see his point of view of shooting back at the person who shot at him IF the first shot was directed at him & not into the air or ground. Self defense.

What if there were no hypothetical questions?
